A common GirlGame that's not a Visual Novel

I've been wanting to try some kind of game like Kirameki School Life (Boku wa tomodachi ga sukunai) or GirlPrincess (Gekkan-shoujo Nozaki kun), but those are not real. I'd like a english translated game, where I can put my own name and be the main character in a school comedy plot, with different routes and choices and so on.

The examples you gave are visual novels. However, I think you are looking for an actual dating sim where you have almost complete command over your character?

If you're looking for dating sims, and you have a smartphone. Any games by Voltage Inc. are really good.
