Are there any Inuyasha movies I can watch that sum up the story or does anyone know if there are filler episodes and when those begin and end. I watched this anime on toonami when I was younger but I never finished it and I'm not interested in getting into a 130+ episode anime.

You could of course read the synopsis for the movies and see that none are a recap.

Filler list

But it's still like 140 episodes, don't watch a long anime if you don't want to watch the whole thing.

You sound kind of ignorant. If you didn't want to watch a longer anime, then why bother skipping the fillers? I mean some fillers are irritating, but it just adds more to the story.

I feel a lil insulted.

I am watching inuyasha for the first time from beginning to end right now, and it is actually quite good. The perfect filler guide is right here -

http://diamed-the-road-less-traveled.blogspot.com/2013/05/inuyasha-filler-guide.html

Its a good show, it does have some filler but not as much as some shows. Some of the filler episodes are def worth watching... most importantly the filler that goes back and shows the events of 50 years ago all in chronological order which was never done in the manga.

Anyway I definitely reccomend giving it a try. Watch all the canon episodes, maybe read descriptions of the filler and decide if you wanna watch.

The show is definitely worth a watch , fillers or not. I am on Inuyasha Final Act right now which is opposite in that there is no filler, but it goes way fast adapting like 6 manga chapters an ep. Not sure which way I prefer but both seasons are good.

Some of the filler is pretty good if you enjoy the comedy of inuyasha, some romantic moments and expanding on world building elements that were never explored in the original manga.

Most of the filler is not as bad as say, Naruto Filler, and this show is considered an anime classic. Give it a go if you are into shounen, romance, or older anime such as saint seiya / escaflowne.

I'd argue a single fuck takes less time on average.

Hmm... this isn't even a long series. It's really only above average in length.

If you just want a summary of the series there's always the wiki.

Otherwise you can read the manga, which takes less time and goes further than the anime and is better overall.
