Question about anime ending vs manga

I heard that the ending of the anime strayed from the manga. I have a couple question about this. First, what episode does the anime stray from the manga or is it the entire show that is different from the manga? Second, what chapter does the anime stray from the manga (If I was to start reading the manga would I miss anything if I was to skip to a certain chapter because I don't want to re-read stuff that I have already seen). Third, exactly how was the anime ending different from that part of the manga? I'm just curious as to how it is different, because some of the stuff seemed a little BS in the anime ending, so I want to know exactly what was different before I decide to pick up the manga.

I can't recall which episode/chapter the anime starts deviating from the manga at, but I do remember it started with how Rin & Amaimon's second battle (during their "camping trip", the one where they had to find lanterns and bring them to camp) ended. The battle concludes a little bit differently, and from there manga and anime go their separate ways - manga starts a new "Impure King" arc, while anime material is 99.(9)% original.

P.s. The anime ending reminded me of Claymore: doesn't seem like we'll be getting any more "seasons" unless they decide to start from scratch.

Edit: just checked - the battle concludes at the end of chapter 13, but like someone told me when I was asking about the same thing as you: if you're going to read the manga, just start from the beginning to have the story flow smoothly, since there are minor inconsistencies with the anime.
