This list is for you to suggest great stories that feature girly ukes. What is the criteria? Well it should be a rather unique story, with special qualities that can make it different from the whole BL genre. Or a girly uke that is really likable...Anyhow, you can give suggestions here about why a certain uke should be in the list!

Akanai Tobira- (First story)
Ake Nure Goyou ni Furu Yuki wa
Furueru Yoru no Himitsugoto
Inu mo Arukeba
J no Subete

Kiss All the Boys
Like as the Time Will Come When it Will Rain ch.1

I just checked One Thousand and One Nights and I think this should be here..the uke might be really smart but he looks, moves, and acts like a girl..though the story is great, they are not equally standing, at least for now.

I've been thinking about where to put Saa Koi ni Ochitamae and decided to place it on this list.
The Uke looks really girly, like an elementary kid almost even though he's supposed be 16. There's a couple of tears as well, although I must admit that it is not sooo many. On the other side he's not a pushover and is even almost at an equal level with his seme - so much so that I thought about putting him in the borderline cases or the list even, but when I see him looking like he's not potty-trained yet I just can't get myself to put him on there. But apart from being a little bit too goody-two-shoes he's not annoying for an uke this girly. And while the story is not exactly up for the Pulitzer Price, it's a nice read with quite a few "cute" moments (coming from me it must be something, I don't usually like cute, but I thought it was well made here), a kind of yaoi version of "hana yori dango", poor kid at a school for the rich - setting.

Kamisama no Ude no Naka is an special case. Most of the ukes are girly and they look like children although they aren't, but the art is so beautiful I couldn't resist!. Besides there are some stories where the uke could be considered borderline case until he starts crying just for kisses or sex (geez!). I can't quite understand this mangaka's charm...if it was only about the art I wouldn't keep her stories in mind that much; it seems there is something more in the air of her stories. Take a note at the clothes, this manga is beautiful...and so sinful! a catholic school and even a priest is involved!

Otona Keikenchi can be considered in the same way. Maybe the outstanding addition here is that the seme is really small compared to the uke..it is kind of cute :)

Ake Nure Goyou ni Furu Yuki wa, all the ukes were girly but not annoying and somehow equally standing to the semes. This is a cute manga..and the art is just perfect!

Wild Rock. A tale of cavemen love and sexy loinclothes, this reads like a typical romance novel, yet it's very fun and addicting. Contains Takashima Kazusa's beautiful art and comedic touch. The uke is girly to the point of passing himself off as one, but he's got some spunk in him at least. A fun read.

I guess I'll put this one here too--Inu mo Arukeba. Another one of her works, even cuter and funnier. Man's best friend just got friendlier and thankfully he turns into a huge hunk of a man to do so (but retains his fuzzy dog ears and tail--best of both worlds?). The Japanese cover is iconic too..

J no Subete

In short, this is a beautifully drawn and written Nakamura Asumiko work not for the light of heart.

I'm a little conflicted putting this here because girly doesn't quite describe J's character. Feminine, yes. "Girly" uke characters in BL are often clumsy attempts of making a character more identifiable with a female audience. Or the result of lack of experience and/or ability to write a male character. J is not one of these. J is J and I don't want to lump J together with all the wanna-be-chicks. J's feminine due to the nature of the character and not a fault of bad writing. /rant

This is a Manga Erotics F comic, meaning it's not really BL. It's aimed at an older audience and has both hetero- and homosexual content. As a mod, I don't like genre tagging these because "mature/adult" options would be better than hentai/yaoi that these works are often tagged as. That said, a lot of these publications are outstanding in uniqueness and quality. :)

The fact I can rant that much about categorizing it is probably a good sign.

Last night I re-read Kiss All the Boys by Kano Shiuko and noticed that it is not yet entered here.
It's a 3-volume story about the impotent porn-mangaka Tetsuo who has a son from his younger days, though he doesn't even know much about his son Haruka when said off-spring moves in with him and is found out to be gay. The boy soon completely messes up Tetsuo's pace, but - oh wonder, Tetsuo can find out, that maybe his impotency is not quite such a hopeless case and even gets to discover the purest kind of love.

There's alltogether 2 - maybe even three couples in this story. The two main uke aren't even really girly per se, just a lot younger, more vulnerable and less experienced than their seme. I'd say not equally standing ... yet - maybe they would be but, after a few years.

Kiss all the boys is a hilarious story with quirky characters, it has quite a bit of sexiness without being explicit and it's really ultimately a story about the wonder of love. Oh, and in case anyone wonders: there's NO INCEST in this story.

I really recommend it despite the uke not being club material, therefore I've decided it has to at least be on this list.

I just read Tokidoki Sekai wa utsukushii (Story: Kannagi Satoru; Art: Momozuki Haruka). The story itself is not really all that new, but then it still doesn't run all that simply as I first expected. I thought it was cute. The uke is just not really girly, probably not equally standing either - but not in an annoying way.

Usagi Otoko Tora Otoko

I have a real soft-spot for this manga after reading the first volume. The guy (the "rabbit") is even mistaken as a woman when he saves a wounded, likely delirious man. Uzuki literally looks like he's about to pee his pants when confronted with this guy, but I almost can't blame him. Uzuki is a tiny, low-key doctor. His opposition? The "tiger" is one of those untoppable, scary, tattooed, violent yakuza guys. Poor thing. And it's drawn by Honma Akira <3

It seems this list needs a bit of love~
How about Seitokaichou ni Chukoku? The uke is certainly girly and a bit air-headed but I find it rather endearing this time. Besides, it's more like he is a goof, a bit silly but not so stupid, really funny in the manga. Let's not forget that he is pretty lewd.

I've been meaning to suggest the manga, Earthian by Yun Kouga one of my favourite shounen-ai stories. Chihaya (uke) maybe girly and naive but I couldn't help but fall in love with his character; he has so many unique quirks, not to mention he is the only one of his kind an Angel born with black hair and black feathers. It is a story about forbidden love and the romance in this manga is magical.

Hmm, we created this list to point out special works where the uke doesn't belong to our group list. That is, really outstanding mangas...well, in our opinion hehe. Asobi ja Naino was fun, but I can't quite remember what it was about. I would say no to Bukiyou na Silent, it's cute but well, not really outstanding and most bl readers know it, maybe other mod will want to add it.

Yeah, you're right. Maybe "Elektel Delusion" of Nekota Yonezou or Lucky Number 13 of Kotetsuko Yamamoto, is very cute and the seme out of the ordinary.

Hahaha I actually added Elektel Delusion to the aguy list because:
-uke had the idea that he was going to be seme at first
-in some sort of way uke seduced seme
-uke keeps coming through when seme is vulnerable
-I think he leads Fumi by the nose, let's see what happens with the new guy pursuing Fumi.
-Lastly, I really thought Fumi was the uke, he has some uke aura going on XD

I put Lucky Number 13 here, you are right about that one.
