Furueru Yoru no Himitsugoto (Manga)

I have the impression that Ogura Muku isn't very popular with her works. And I'm still wondering why. In that case, I decided to write a review to get people closer to her unbelievable pure style of telling simple stories. Don't get me wrong, by "simple stories" I meant nothing bad. Just... her way of presenting us something is really captivating and clean. Everyone understands everything and eweryone is happy after reading. It can melt your icy heart and turn it into furnace.

"Furueru Yoru no Himitsugoto" is a manga with not only one plot. There's actually four separate stories and one of them is two chapters long. So we have here:
- "Secrecy of the shivering night" - two boys with antagonistic fears;
- "Only waiting for you" - the benefits of being helpful to others;
- "La-la. Bye bye" - breaking your own barriers;
- "The innocence of a young bird" - first love, and being able to forgive yourself.

STORY : 8/10
After reading I like the most "Only waiting for you". I know that such stories don't happen very often. I can even say that such stories generally don't happen at all. We can't really trust strangers that much to give them something ours to help them. But the main character did that. And even did that twice! Fate decided to repay him for his kindness and create him opportunity to find happy and innocent love. In this story there are no character names mentioned. And it isn't even needed.
But, always there must be some bad points too. I think "La-la. Bye bye" have the weakest plot here. Story hasn't got enough time to develop good. And also, the story is TOO simple. When I finished reading this, I thought "That's it? No way...". Everything is happening too fast, falling in love, confession... I think it would be better with thirty pages more.
The deepest plot surely have "The innocence of a young bird". It's a little rushy too... but certainly in a smaller way than "La-la. Bye bye".

I can for sure say that because of this manga, my faith in humanity restored a bit.

ART: 7,5/10
Drawings are really cute. Sometimes I could swear that my computer screen was emanating sweet aura. And this aura was spreading all over my room. The way in which characters are blushing... you just can't stop giggling. The backgrounds are drawn properly, but this is not something that you are amazed of. They are clean and good-looking. That's all. Author in this theme is more focused on character faces, theirs postures and movements. We can't help it.
Hairstyles are messy, someone can think that people in this manga doesn't have hairbrushes. But this is a unique Ogura's artstyle which I adore very much and that's why it doesn't bother me. I think Ogura have a little problems with faces drawing in profiles too... but fortunately it isn't very noticeable.

CHARACTER: 8/10
The characters evoke sympathy easly. I liked them from the start, everyone is unique and interesting. The manga (that's a relief, I think) doesnt focus on sex, and only on sex. Rather on characters feelings. Of course, you can count on some "hot action", but I classify it as a soft yaoi.

ENJOYMENT: 9/10
I enjoyed this manga very much. It wasn't boring. Actually it can't let you go till the end. It's one of those yaoi mangas, which leaves you with a wide smile on the face and with lighter heart.

OVERALL: 8/10

I recommend this manga for everyone who want to read something light and fresh. Just be happy while reading it, don't think about problems and depressing world. Instead, enter this sweet and joyful manga reality.
