Recently, the level of activity in both the chat room and club forum has begun to greatly decline. Many of you once very active members seem to never visit the club anymore. While some of you may just be busy, I feel as though the decay of the club is entirely my fault. I am here to ask you all to please give me suggestions on how to improve the club, so you will visit more often. I never intended this club to be very big, but I did always want us to be a tight-nit group of friends. Please help me make my wishes for the club become a reality. Thank you for your time and I hope to see you all more in the future.
Hey! it's hardly your fault. I'll try my best to be an active member but I really do have very little time these days with studies and what not. Even the time I visit MAL has dropped drastically. I'll let you know if I come up with any ideas.
Hey there mate, in my case and that of my brothers (bear) it is by no means your issue to redress. My brother and I have as of late been almost fully in-twinned with studies and using what free time we have to watch anime. I cant speak for my twin, but I will most likely be stopping by every now and again when I can.
The problem is, that you need to have the members enter the chat somehow. Most of them might not mean harm, but just forget to enter it, thus the decline is pre-programmed I think.
Additionally the activity drops due to the chat being there. I don't mean this in a bad way, but that's how it is.
That is also one of the reasons why we just don't want to go the way with the chat for our MG Club. ^^

It auto logs people in
We first made the chat because people were tired of the constant need to refresh the page. As much as I think it would make it harder to talk, I will consider getting rid of the chat room. However, if you guys think and IRC would be a better alternative, I would be happy to go with that. However, I have no idea how to use one or set one up.
Besides the chat, does anyone have any other suggestions that might make the club more appealing? Perhaps some forum related ideas?
I believe there isn't starting to decline. Fact you have a chat room causes that most active people who would spam the comments daily are re-directed there, while others still post in the comments normally because they simply missed the link or don't have time to hang around for a most of the day. If you put chat activity invisible on MAL together with something happening here you will see a steady activity you want. Plus it still goes several comments a day and this means club is far from being dead or dying.
Signature removed. It was too good for this cruel world.
soz dragy school and stuff. its my last year of highschool, gotta get down and study. I'll try and get on chat more. I do check in the club but not the chat. =( sorry
Unfortunately, my lack of involvement has been made noticed prior about approximately 2 months ago. I apologise again for unable to inhabit and properly maintain myself as an active member. However I assure you that when I my exams conclude at the end of October. I will be pristine and on the entirety of my life thereafter. I myself have barely had time to even update my anime-list, and honestly I haven't had much time to watch ANY anime anyways.
A suggestion is of the same feat. that "Namine's Cafe" has implemented. It is of a Steam Group, however this can only be successful with day-to-day Steam Users. If there is not a sufficient amount of Steam Users this method and suggestion should be null & void.
I wish everyone especially you Dragao my friend, the very best!
Sorry for the formal language, but i'm currently been practicing essay writing quite profusely thus my language register has been increased to a magnitude of insanity in reference to English.
