| I got the Hello Kitty and Friends DVD set so I’m able to confirm/fix some of the previous entries due to a lack/wrong online info before. Turns out both of these anime had 2 versions. http://myanimelist.net/anime/9291/Hello_Kitty_no_Cinderella http://myanimelist.net/anime/17951/Hello_Kitty_no_Shirayuki-hime Not a re-release, but genuinely remade versions with the same freakin’ name. I thought they were the Animation Theater ones (which I had a copy of previously). AniDB also reflects the error as well, we all assumed there was just 1 anime with the title, not two. So I submitted the two new entries for the Animation Theater release. So these changes are for the current entry relative to their current release date posted. For both, remove the animation theater synonym. Change duration to 30 min. For old Cinderella this image is better: http://www.tsutaya.co.jp/images/jacket/00001/4901610826645_1L.jpg She wears a full pink dress in the movie while a pink-and-white one in the OVA. http://myanimelist.net/anime/22619/Kero_Kero_Keroppi_no_Tomodachitte_Ii_na Give the English title and synopsis to this instead. The air date is May 1st (05-01) not Jan 5th (01-05) for #22619. |

Jap wiki pages are incomplete and there are a few shopping portals that have some DVDs of the anime but it doesn't give any additional info; just verbatim what you can read off the cover image. ANN does have a page but it's not what I think MAL is going for. They have a page just for the USA release: http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/anime.php?id=4172 which combines 26 titles including these two. They same for another USA release: http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/anime.php?id=4414 which combines 30-some other Sanrio franchise titles. As for the pics, those are the most recent DVD releases that were printed in 2006. They are double-billed, you can see both anime's titles on the cover images. Hence why the same image is used for two titles. Almost all of them are like that on here and on AniDB so I went for consistency of what was already in the DB. There are other pictures of other older releases where the anime is sometimes even billed with 5 others on the same disk. And there's VHS versions too. The 2006 printed DVDs by far have the clearest and nicest looking images. Plus if someone was going to buy it, they'd most likely purchase that version rather than a VHS from 2001. |

They should have the same release date, my bad selecting one down from the drop down scroll bar. It's what's listed on Amazon.co.jp for the VHS, since Sanrio's own site doesn't list dates; I assume this is where AniDB pulled their info which was in turn used for MAL. And why I used that date--which lines up with the other ones released over the course of 2001. Almost all of them are released on the 20-something of any given month. It's the earliest online documented date we know, no idea if these things were made even before 2001 or how many times it got re-released and bundled (especially since the production value is low, it's hard to identify just from the art alone). |
| vodall, There is really not much to elaborate on. It's in the guidelines. - If there is no gap between seasons, but the continuation of the series is indicated as a separate season with a new title, it will get a second entry. That is the case with the Diamond no Ace entry. |

It’s a little boy that controls the robot and so I don’t think they’ll be moving around. Granted I only got to see 1 ep subbed but there’s an professor with a lab that gives Kentaro advice so I don’t think they’re going to travel especially when the kid's love interest is a rich little girl whose dad is a high ranking police officer and they live in a mansion. I think the show is going to keep them in the same city and have them duke it out there or on the outskirts all the time like in the first ep. Also I think it should be 26 eps. Jap wiki lists 26. AniDB lists 25+a special. They got their info from Allcinema which is missing episode 14 “白夜の対決” in their ep list. Now I don’t know if this ep aired on TV not. I can’t find a reference to it being excluded, the episode is on the DVD Box set of the show though. Looking at Allcinema’s airdates, this ep fits snuggly on Jan 3rd, 1973 right between their ep 13 and “ep 14” (since they list 25 eps, “ep 14” would actually be ep 15 if you make it 26). That makes sense to me as to where this ep came from and to list it as 26 eps total rather than 25 eps + a random special with no air date I can find. |

| Akarin- found a hiccup in the DB and I did some digging trying to figure out what was going on. So here's our conclusion http://myanimelist.net/anime/7304/Detective_Conan_Movie_08:_Magician_of_the_Silver_Sky_Recap http://myanimelist.net/anime/14943/Detective_Conan_Movie_08_Pre-Release_Special #14943 is a duplicate of #7304. From what we understand MAL got #7304 from AniDB's database back when MAL was out of beta in 2006-2007. AnimeNFO and ANN don't mention any specials for the film. AniDB has listed a special since 2004 due to KnKF subbing it and also has it listed as a recap (well since 90% of it goes over the film). #14943 should have been added to MAL in 2012 by my count. Its title card is the same as the one in KnKF's subbed special. Which means that anyone who saw the KnKF special between 2006-2012 would have added #7304 to their lists. Now if #14943 is supposedly a completely different special from #7304; what was the source that allowed #7304 to be added to MAL back in 2006/2007 if it wasn't the previously existing KnKF subbed special which was subbed in 2004? (In which case, I found no such source myself.) I also can't find though google a mention of two specials for the film. Different versions of omnibus in Japanese don't bring back any results besides compilation OSTs for the films. At which point, we concluded that both entries are covering the same release and are requesting that #14943 be removed for duplication reasons. And perhaps, #7304 be renamed to have "promo special" or something similar in the title like how it is labeled by KnKF since it's not a traditional/full style recap due to it coming out before the film aired in theaters. If a yes on the change, I assume the 9th and 10th movie's recaps are the same style as this one. Airing-before-the-film so "promo special" is desired to indicate that. Looking at NND I see 宣伝番組 (Senden Bangumi) used as well which means Advertising Program. |

Actually, it was my mistake. If you read the ANN report again (here is the link), the OVA's title is "Yomigaeranai Fushichō" ("The Phoenix That Can't Rise," translated elsewhere as "The Unresurrected Phoenix"), which is the adaptation of a short story compiled in Volume 13, but which storywise takes place after volume 8 in the series. This will make it a DxD Born OVA; it's first. |
