| So Hijikata was nicknamed ''Thorny''? That's a pretty neat nickname. His past look pretty shitty though. We already know that Kondo ended up being a fatherly/mentor figure to him. Does Tetsu glasses come with a beard? His face is so fucking hilarious, holy shit. He look like those shitty old school girl designs. That other guy look like an asshole, the unbearable kind. The kind who is unredeemable. |

| I see that this is going to be yet another start to an amazing arc. An arc full of action, drama and the most important thing of all COMEDY! oh yeah! Seriously though that fat kid sounds a lot like Killer B when he raps haha |

| Hahaha, it had been a while since a Gintama episode had made laughed. Seeing an arc focused on HIjikata is a breath of fresh air honestly. |

| A decent start to one of Gintama's amazing serious arcs. Hopefully it gets better from here. Tetsu is a fairly funny character, I can never have enough Hijikata, and an entire arc about the Shinsengumi? Sign me up. Did they just forget about Gintoki being arrested? Ah well, from the looks of it that will be explained next episode. |

| Episodes about Shinsengumi are the best. Hijikata-San is my favorite character. I also like when they show us Kondou-San as a serious person, the scene when he is talking about Hijikata's past is great - similar to the scene in Yagyu Arc when he told Shinpachi about Hijikata's past too. |

| The first half was pretty funny, especially with the "fucking crazy monkey" engrish. I wish somehow Katsurap would have been able to join in though :( Also I really love Hijikata so seeing his past is awesome. This is shaping up to be a good arc already |

| Yet another example of correctly mixing funny and serious moments for now, Hiji and his new assistant have even more potential. Of course, i couldn't unsee Kondo with a red number 4 jersey and the symbolism that runs with the corresponding Slam Dunk character and the animal they're both associated with. |

| So Shinsengumi isn't the only police in Edo? I'm already waiting for a fight between Gintoki and the Sasaki genius, but it sounds like we're getting a fight between Hijikata and Gintoki!! Nice arc so far. Also Hijikata warning that guy to not pick on Gin gave me chills and made me laugh at the same time. |
