| I didn't think Bebop was bad, I saw it on the tube when it aired before Inuyasha, at 4am. But i never took time to finish the series. As far as episodial anime goes, i'm extremely picky. |

| Op's thought's: Ow shit i didn't see whats is so great about Bebob. Need to find people fast to drop this anime down even more right now! All i can say is, you don't have to like it and rewatch it probably won't change it. But people who did gave it a 10 and have it in there top 5 know that it is a shame for people to never truly feel this very special master piece. Bebop isn't a master piece by the book. But 10 raters know it is just one of those view classics that just feels like a legend piece of work. Some classics you just need to feel and this anime is not made for all kinds of people so some would never feel it. Which is a shame for those guys that they are missing something this good. But you know different taste and all can't be helped. For me Bebop is still the number one on anime ground. Like LOTR is in the movie business. In the end it is all about how deep it can touch you. Where FMAB was good in it's overall. Bebob carved really deep in my hart. I don't know how to explain it otherwise. It's like animating your most beautiful dream and have it end up just like you imagined, like when you watch it you get the same feel when you dreamed it. And dreams don't go by the book. |

| It's been years since I've watched Cowboy Bebop and even now, I can still remember several scenes and episodes off the top of my head that struck me when I first saw them, which IMO is a testament to the show's strong writing and the individuality of each episode. Strong writing, not brilliant. I'll admit that there were weak episodes sprinkled throughout. Still, Cowboy Bebop is fairly sophisticated when it it wants to be (especially considering its time period), and there's no denying the fact that it's an iconic anime that'll be discussed for years to come. If you didn't like it, then that's that. Plenty of people don't. |

I didn't think the main story was all that great or at least if they would've focused more on it, maybe I would've liked it more. The non-main storyline episodes were great though.....I'm not complaining about that. |

If it had been entirely arc-based, or had every episode as part of a single contiguous storyline, it wouldn't have made as much sense given the way the rest of the show is and frankly, I wouldn't have liked it as much. If you don't understand what I mean by that, then you're a pleb you didn't get what the show was about, so of course you wouldn't think it's anything special. Another thing, the main story got as many episodes as it needed. A huge part of the charm is how rich the back story is despite (or perhaps because of) it being largely untold. But all that aside, it episodic allows Shinichiro Watanabe to do as he likes. Some of the episodes were pretty meh, like Asteroid Blues or Stray Dog Strut, but at the same time, we had episodes like Mushroom Samba and Toys in the Attic. Those episodes would not have been possible, or would have been dismissed as mindless filler if it wasn't an episodic show. And yet, Toys in the Attic is one of my favorite episodes in the series. |
