Saber has a sword, and I recently found out that he had caliburn and excalibur. She has excalibur in the series didn't she? Well I'm confused about which one she has since they both look the same to me. Is it the invisible one? Or the visible one when the main character was capatured by the master of Hercules. Still very confusing to me.

Another question is are they gonna make another season. I know about Fate/ zero. I want to know a sequel though, not a prequel. Jeez! Why do they have to make them out of order!

Another question is who did she stab when she was in one of her flashback?

Another question: I went to wikipedia and saw that she pulled caliburn out of the stone but then it got destroyed. Then she acquired excalibur. So is it true? But from what I was seeing they look like the same sword to me.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saber_(Fate/stay_night)
Its under "true identy"

Another question is did anyone liked the ending?

Another question: can you please answer the question about excalibur and caliburn? It's the main one.

Thanks alot. Oh and if you are ok with roccmending me animes like fate/ stay night, that'd be great! :D

Yes, Saber has Excalibur in the series. Supposedly, Caliburn was her original sword that she lost during her life. The invisible sword is Excalibur, she uses it to conceal her identity. Caliburn was used in the battle against Berserker because Shirou managed to trace it.

I don't believe there is a sequel to be made. Personally, I think Fate/Zero is infinitely better than Fate/stay Night.

hmmmm... But in stay night they said that the main character's dad destroyed the Holy Grail, but it still shown up again. So how did she obtain Excalibur? This is so fustrating!

I'm just saying that they needa make a season 2 because the ending is just too depressing to me!

Watch fate zero and you will find out. Well the show's taking a break at episode 13 so you'll have to wait a lot longer.

The Holy Grail War is a recurring thing. What the main's dad destroyed was the vessel at the time. Excalibur is attached to Saber as her Noble Phantasm. If she is summoned, naturally Excalibur is summoned. There won't be a season 2 because the anime veered from the original material, which is the VN. I thought the VN was unnecessarily long and contained a plethora of pointless scenes, but if you want an ending (or a few endings), that's the only place you would get it.

You can also watch the movie to clear up some points, but it's an alternate path, not a continuation of the TV series.

I see what you mean. but i dont know what is VN... And sorry but the sword is still confusing, the wikipedia said that caliburn got destroyed... then at the last episode they said "Return to the lady in the lake" i think... So what you said about excalibur didn't really made a valid argument.

No...you want more Fate/stay night? Just read the Visual novel, you'll get what you got from the anime, in much more detail, and a whole lot more. You haven't even scratched the surface of the story with just the Fate/stay anime.

You know... This is the rare anime that gets me really interested in it... Naruto gets to the point of not good in shippuden. But Fate stay night is really interesting. I'm like a fantasy geek rofl!

VN is the visual novel. I wasn't making an argument, I just stated what happened. I think you're missing a few points, but I forget how good the anime was at explaining these things. What you don't get is the fact that Saber did not have Caliburn. What she had was Excalibur. Caliburn was created by Shirou, but what he created was only a copy. Excalibur was what was returned to the lake, not Caliburn.

I know that... I think you're missing my point... So let me re-explain the question, Saber currently has Excalibur, explained in wikipedia, her caliburn was destroyed and was the one pulled from the stone? Right? Then lady in the lake gave her Excalibur, which is better than caliburn...? So in that specific episode what I do not remember, the main use a projection spell or wateva and made caliburn. Not Excalibur? But I kinda thought that he made excalibur lol. O and on that episode where Saber's sword was not invisible why's that? It's not glowing or anything... Aw man! I just confused my self again... Sry

I didn't miss your point, I answered your questions from the previous post. No, Shirou created Caliburn, Saber already had Excalibur. The copy is a one time use thing. The invisibility is just Saber hiding Excalibur. She can hide or show it at will, it has nothing to do with whether it's Caliburn or Excalibur.

It is, but to a certain route. FSN has three routes: Fate, Unlimited Blade Works, and Heaven's Feel. Ataraxia is a sequel to the 'good end' (I think) to UBW. The anime is based on the Fate route (which is considered to be the weakest one).

Really? I thought it was a sequel/side to Heaven's Feel. Also, I'm pretty sure you can only wiki up about Ataraxia because last time I checked they're still working on translating it. If they're done, someone has to let me know!

Without going into the details of the VN, the simple answer is that the Holy Grail grants wishes, and Saber's wish was never to stay with Shirou. I don't remember how the TV series ended, so I'll put this in spoilers just in case.

As for Ataraxia, I actually don't know anything about it, but it's not fully translated anyway.

1. That's not the actual Grail if you've read HF.
2. The Grail summoned the spirits, you'd hesitate if you're about to kill yourself, no?
3. Command spells are basically a huge pool of pure magic, which is why it's so scarce, amplifies the abilities of the magus (Emiya couldn't trace for shit before the Grail War), and has the ability to subdue a heroic spirit. So the final spell was like burst damage.

I'm pretty sure her wish changed at the end. She wanted a better king than she was for Britain. Was her reason in destroying the Holy grail just not to cause destruction? As they've explained in one episode, It was revealed that the holy grail was weapon of destruction right? Or was there another reason that she destroyed the holy grail. And one more question, does that mean servants are forever gone since they already destroyed the holy grail? Or will it appear again?
Again, sorry for all the questions

I'm pretty sure that she loved Shirou and changed her mind at the end. So basically, she just wants Britain to have a better King than she was. Ok so the reason why she destroyed the holy grail was because she found out it was a weapon of destruction? Or is there another reason.

i c... ok on top of that, Roccmendation for an anime that's competible with fate stay night or fate zero that has drawings that actually look modern, say for ranma 1/2 looks like from the 1990's, not good.
Must have genre: Fantasy. romance
I'm ok with any other genre but those two are the ones im interested in.
Maybe a little action will do.

Heroic Spirits live in the Throne of Heroes not in the grail. The Grail is not even made for wish-granting (through it can grant wishes), it's merely a gate to Origin which is what actually grants wishes (and where all the world knowledge and power is contained). The only reason Saber hesitated was because she needed the Grail.

And since many people said some stupid confusing things here, Ataraxia isn't a direct sequel to any of the three routes. It's more like the sequel to an amalgam of the three routes. This is easy to see because all 3 heroines are there and all their secrets are revealed (even Sakura's).

BTW, the point of using the command seal was to power up Saber. Saber was on the brink of running out of energy and 1 Excalibur shot would pretty much spell her death. Command Spells compel Herois Spirits to do almost impossible things so long as it is within their realm of possibilities, so if Saber was ordered to destroy the Grail she wouldn't hold back any single ounce of power to ensure it was destroyed. That was why he did it. Do note Rin doesn't use one during UBW because Saber had more than enough power to use Excalibur.

And for my last point, I'd like people to know there's no "caliburn" in King Arthur's tale. There's only the sword in the stone or sword of choosing which only a true King could take out, and Excalibur, the gift of the Fairy of the Lake. Arthur loses the Sword of the Stone and receives Excalibur (with Avalon, it's sheath) as a gift. The writer of Fate/Stay Night just thought that it would be inconvenient to have a "nameless sword" be Saber's original super sword so he named it Caliburn.

It's not only one. You have more than one story if you're asking. You need to finish one path to unlock the rest. Trust me, if you're planning to read each piece of text, you'll need a lot of time on your hands. Oh, and by the way, there's quite a few H-Scenes. Especially Heaven's Feel.

It's not only one. You have more than one story if you're asking. You need to finish one path to unlock the rest. Trust me, if you're planning to read each piece of text, you'll need a lot of time on your hands. Oh, and by the way, there's quite a few H-Scenes. Especially Heaven's Feel.
How many are there?
