Horrible and hideous artwork here!!!
Ugh~~!

But the story, as always, is very very nice...confusing, but nice.
I like classical japanese tales...

I agree, the animation was really crappy in this episode, but the story was at least good
"Every man shall reap what he has sown, from the highest lord to the lowest gutter rat. And some will lose more than the tips off their fingers, I promise you. They have made my kingdom bleed, and I do not forget that"

The animation in episode 10 is the only reason I plan on watching this series! Maasaki Yuasa's art direction is (in my opinion) the most distinct and creative in all of Japanese animation. He was closely involved with other gorgeous works like Mind Game, Kemonozume and Cat Soup. I only found this series by checking his page on here.

Seriously, open your minds. He's great. :)

Not only Yuasa, we have Ohira here! A treat to any animation fan. Plenty of great cuts and raw emotion expressed through them. The chase scene in the grass reminded me of Ohira's later cut in Nijiiro Hotaru. Stylish stuff.
