possible plothole?

In early chapters, it's shown that Minami has memories of his past life as Veronica since at least childhood, and when he was a kid he told that fact to his classmates, which lead them to bully or isolate him a bit.

Moreover, when he started high school, there were rumors going around that Minami "was a princess in past life", and he was tagged as weirdo for that.

One of the major plots of the story is people (specially

) not knowing who the princess is, but it appears as if everyone forgot such rumors.
I mean, it's not that hard to at least think that Minami might be Veronica, considering those rumors, and the fact that he had a notebook full of other-wordly writings, but nobody points that out. I just find it weird.
Is it explained in any way why this is?

I shall note that as the time I wrote this, I am at chapter 51.

Well, I don't think it's a plothole cause the rumor was in middle school, and he went to a different high school. People who knew went to the same middle school as Minami (he also stopped people from talking about it shown in Chapter 1), and none of them were in his class.

The notebook doesn't have anything that could pinpoint his identity. CMIIW, the book only has details about magic in it.

The only ones who knew before the trigger was I think Hiroki and Haruko
