Not a wholesome ending but very grounded in reality.
Not all dreams come true but you can live without them.

It was the perfect ending, at least for me. Two people lost in this world trying to find their way together depicted in a realistic tone. I find this quite optimistic and it certainly put a smile on my face.

Throughout the show however they could not stay in same quality. Between the part that the offline meeting arc and the final episodes felt somewhat disconnected. The brother being healed after starving was quite simplistic and they did this to Satou as well. In reality a lot of people die from malnutrition. At least Satou explained it as "if people are not ready to die they will work" but it felt lacking for me. Maybe they did not want to go that depressive.

I am not good at rating shows and i really do not care either. If i like something it means i liked it. So 10/10 it is lol.

The series overall is very impressive in its realism and genre, Problems are never truly resolved, and when one is solved, another is presented much like the ever changing harshness of life, no one is truly happy, yet we continue on searching, to eventually reach it. progress is a slow pace and I think it teaches some lessons on how to try and continue on even when we're beaten and broken down.

I'm glad I'm not as hikkikomori.
A dramatic ending is not my style.
We have to keep pushing even when all the odds are against you.

Well written story and hits close to home. It portrays paranoid scheziophrinia, social anxiety and depression quite well. It's also nice seeing the characters develop and mature in facing reality.

Very good anime. Atleast nothing bad happened.

And the relationship is a lot less toxic than before.

Without change,we end up becoming the very person we hate.

I was dead until the moment I met you. I was a powerless corpse pretending to be alive. Living without power, without the ability to change my course, was bound to lead me to a slow death.

I agree with most people that the ending felt a bit underwhelming. I mean the whole show is about his condition getting better and we kinda end with him getting a job, so why not show us more about their relationship just as a final touch? Also i didnt really understand why he jumped off the cliff, it seems a bit out of character. The whole scene felt like he wants to comfort misaki so she doesnt give herself the fault for all the bad things that happened to her and her family, but then why go to the extreme and jump off the cliff??

Also ending with saying the name of the anime is pretty cringe in my opinion.

Of course the natural for an anime would be these 2 really dating in the end, but it would be weird since both have a kinda mental disorder or PTSD.

So that's the realistic end for a realistic anime where nothing is perfect.

Moral of the story in this "Japanese 1st World problems anime":

- Just let the hikomori pass hunger.

Lol, so the teacher and student roles got reversed.

My first slice-of-life anime and it's a good anime even though the ending wasn't great.

MY GOD TOP 3 BEST ANIME I WATCHED THIS YEAR WITHOUT A DOUBT, I LOVED IT, Satou is a total antisocial weirdo but a really brutal reflection of a part of the japanese and nowdays worldwide society, those who reject to live a normal life and spend his days in solitude.Misaki is the same antisocial weirdo as satou and even worst because of his manipulative behaviors and i love it, because is a waifu that feels different form every waifu i've seen, feels more human.Yamazaki is literally me except his family. Anyway, i loved this anime, this anime have a raw and hard but really good message of motivation, that even if you're in the most deepest hole of your life you can go out, it's  doomy beautiful that each time that satou can go forward PUM *an event appears*  and inmediately satou return to his hikkikomori life lol but he can solve it by his own will and the help of his friends and it's true sometimes this can happen. Well i finished it good night everyone go to sleep it's late and sleep is healty :)
BRUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUH

Satou getting his life together in the end and finally taking the risk he has been avoiding his entire life, finally rescuing a girl that needs him and turning things around, was inspirational. maybe i should try to get a job.

i don't have much to say, just happy that they got a happy ending. it never was explicitly stated just how and why misaki came to like satou. anyway it was nice to see that everyone got a happy ending. the senpai too- she probably will be too busy with caring for her child than thinking about inbous. the prez had a overall nice ending too so did our yamazaki- especially happy for him, he didn't get to do what he really wanted to but in the end he looks happy.

till the end i didn't really get the point of this series much. it felt so much just happened without any real significance or deep motive. so many things were left as it is like with senpai- she asked satou about having an affair and then we were also never showed what actually happened in the club room on the senpai's last day there.

also satou's NEET case wasn't even that serious compared to say the onii-chan from the game. it wasn't even stated why satou became a NEET in the first place.

well we got a happy ending, even satou has a girl now and the love is mutual, he's moved to a better apartment apparently, has a decent job. what else does a man need?

8/10 overall because whatever it was it was gripping. binged the whole thing in two days. otherwise this was 7/10. kinda disappointed as many people said this would be an amazing anime and a must watch. well whatever, this was a good experience and a good insight into the mind and life of a NEET. i will even say that satou had it really easy, if not for misaki and yamazaki he would have died just like that. though i really liked the realisation satou finally came to - it is a luxury to be a NEET and it indeed is. and the NEET themself isn't the one responsible for turning out like that, the parents are just as much responsible. the parents simply need to cut off the allowance and all will be solved, it worked in that game onii-chan's case and for satou too. same goes for depression, getting depressed isn't in our control, the circumstances, situation and people around us could be responsible but it is in our hands if we want to stay depressed.

now i've got the itch to watch some more animes showing adult stories. feel like watching nodame next. let's see.

The end of an era. Thank you Wit, Mappa and Isayama.
Feeling half happy, half sad.

I'm happy with the happy ending even tho they aren't partner, at least satou has changed a little bit.

Congrats Misaki! Your plan has succeeded to get Satou out of his hikikomori life

beautiful i understand misaki chan more. she doesnt know how to interact with ppl so creating contacts to ensure things stay forever and she got attached bc she had a purpose through helping someone pathetic like sato kun. also the NHK created through the pushing off of responsibilities and accepting failures as a person. this anime is so good at exemplifying hte negative seclusion coping mechanisms and degeneracies that we may fall into when things just dont work out or failures and how we as ppl may react. i was sad that he ended up kinda alone and the erotic game failed but that is a part of it, putting all your expectations and something failing is also a part of life. and then people leaving and coming. him like tororo being pushed to get jobs to feed themselves helped with the hikkokimori lifestyle.

bittersweet for me, i love this anime its really good and has such good messages within it.

I don't think it was nowhere near masterpiece level, but I thought it was good and better than the manga, I just find Tatami Galaxy to be a far better alternative.
