Since you mentioned it, how did you do that with your list? o.o

Never heard of anything like that. The closest thing is what I'm doing in my animelist (active until mouseleave). Could you post your code? It sounds interesting.

Any thoughts on my question? Anyone?

Is it possible to use Adobe Dreamweaver to make MAL List layouts?
| 12-06-13, 9:56 AM
I added a new function to the anime covers on the list that I'm making that enlarges them once they're clicked on (using :active), but for some reason they stay enlarged until you click on them again, instead of only while holding the mouse click (as far as I know, that's how :active is supposed to work). Can you tell me the reason for this and is there some way to intentionally make this effect or avoid it, since I need the "active until clicked again" function for something that I have in mind?

Yes everything is fine. But I can see the cutoff line on your shadow on the very bottom and the left side of your favorites. And if you add "&sclick=1" to the end of your anime list url, it will show you on your panel whenever someone clicks into your list through the button on your profile.

Would anyone mind checking out my About Me Box and telling me if all the buttons are working and everything's lined up fine please?

Well my list is customized with CSS- you're not using anything like that on your list you're putting what looks like random HTML codes like CONTENT="NOINDEX, NOFOLLOW" in your edit box (only CSS and imports go in there). I don't know where you got the idea to do that but thats not the correct way of doing things here. So what you're doing wrong is probably using things outside of our instructions here on customizing your list.
What you should do pick a premade layout code and paste it to your CSS edit box where you put the HTML codes and save (delete the HTML codes you had before too):
After that you can customize it with these topics:
And if you really want someone else's layout you have to use advanced but simple tricks.. but if you do that with my layout it might not work perfectly for your list since its tailored for mine and isn't a public premade layout.
It doesn't make you stupid, and we can help you through those steps if you don't know what to do next exactly. btw when there's a problem with a code or something you have to leave it up or share it somehow we can't fix it by guessing or looking at screenshots. Like with your profile graphic if you'd post it here or leave it up we could probably post a fixed version you could use but you took it down completely it seems.

it's official I am stupid I am trying to Customize me list like shishio-kun list but I can't I just don't understand what I'm doing wrong

He was putting the image link in the right spot, but he was putting the same link in the url spot, so it was just redirecting to a copy of the image.
| 12-03-13, 8:25 PM
Sounds like the last step wasn't followed correctly. Where is the code for the profile? We can't fix it without seeing it.
| 12-03-13, 7:21 PM
okay I give up I have no idea what the hell i doin wrong
| 12-03-13, 6:40 PM
You're linking the pictures, not the link you want.
That should be the top right picture. Just remove the 2 "*"s

hey for starters I like to say hi and thank you for all your help and showing us how to do this but I'm having trouble with the button I do what you say but it just doesn't show up it adds the link into my bio
| 12-03-13, 9:20 AM
Thanks. I didn't want a really fancy setup. Just a clean look. It's easy to go in and switch the backgrounds with the 2nd method too.
| 12-02-13, 10:02 PM
Ah instead of using the headers then, try Method 2 in the the multiple background tricks topic. It seems like it will work well for your list type. You just need to delete the old "CHANGING HEADERS" section completely it seems, and use these settings to get the renders to contain images properly:
background-position: center right;
I haven't gotten a chance to test it out on your layout but it looks from preview like it will be a better setup for you
| 12-02-13, 8:20 PM
I thought there might be a less tedious way. I assume the backgrounds not being in .body is also the reason
don't work properly.
I was hoping to just stretch the images to fit the height of the page. Using px instead of the fit or % sizes make the background look funny on widescreen vs standard monitors.
ps Thanks for the quick feedback.

Ah btw looks like you only need it for the currently watching header. The others are'nt affected by the banner (or margin top) cuz they're structured differently. I'll try to fix the inconsistencies of this premade layout when they bring IMG tags back; I made it years ago and could do it better now
