One of my favourite bits of Osakaness is when they are discussing Chiyo's "kidnapping" and Osaka uses her finger as a gun. BANG! It cracks me up big time. She is quite the weapons gal.

Yeah, and I like it better in the anime, because you don't see the knife until Yukari does. You see Yomi's reaction, but you don't know the first time you watch it (unless you've been told and remember) what she's reacting to.

Compare to the manga, where you see Yomi reacting, and then you see Osaka walking away with the knife, and you also see it in the panel where she opens the door, right before Yukari sees it. So it's kind of different.

If they spell the deity's name with the cities kanji and apply it to the region, it sort of puts the region under the divine protection or something. Again, I don't really know anything, but I guess it's quite possible in Japanese language, culture.
