I aways thought that Hotori was more like Tomo than Osaka because Hotori has the habit of annoying everyone around her in the same way that Tomo does.

There again, she does has occasional moments genius that Tomo lacks, but Osaka has, making her a bit of a cross between Tomo and Osaka.

There is an interesting character in Soredemo Machi wa Mawatteiru (Arashiyama, Hotori) that bears an interesting (if somewhat more energetic) resemeblence to Osaka. There are quite a few of the odd traits in her that remind me so much of our much loved elavator/escalator girl.
