Example #127: Start of the 501st unit.
This is the Hundred-and-twenty-seventh week of using the "Perfect Anime Girl Sheet". Notice: This Blog may contain Unmarked Spoilers.
With Perrine last week, and my recent start of the second season of the series, I'm going to be continuing with Strike Witches girls. And what better girl to do than the first one? Okay, I suppose that the main star of the series would be a good idea as well, but this way is probably better.
Even if it's just to put today's and last week's blogs close.
Has anyone else noticed all the characters named Mio recently? Might just be me, though.
Head
Hair: Mio has medium-length, black hair. She has a straight cut, but since her hair is usually up I won't consider it a true hime cut. Although her hair goes about to her shoulder blades, it's usually kept in a ponytail, much like a samurai would. It's great when down, of course.
Grade: A-
Eyes: Mio keeps a lot of emotion in her eyes, going from very passionate to stern fairly quickly. She does have an eyepatch, but don't worry; she didn't lose it. It's just a power limiter-type item. Under that eye is her "magic eye", which grants her increased visual prowess and the ability to spot Neuroi cores (IE the alien's weak spots) when used. Her magic eye is purple and looks funny, and her other is a golden color, but the shape of them is most important.
Grade: B+
Face: Her face is usually stern and serious, but she does have her moments. She's a bit older than her costars and you can sort of see it in her face, but not in any way that would actually hurt her. She still has the soft look down.
Grade: B+
Body
Build: Mio has a very sexy body. Unfortunately, her uniform hides it somewhat. She is toned in all the right ways as well. She also seems to be somewhat darker skinned than the other characters (though nowhere near Lucchini). Overall, I can see why she has so many admirers.
When transformed, she gains the ears and tail of a Doberman.
Grade: A
Breasts: She's above average in series. Unfortunately, they're not as noticeable most of the time, as I think she may wrap them. She does have a good sized pair, and they look great.
Grade: B
Clothes: A while ago I said that school swimsuits is the lethal weapon for loli fanservice. However, I never said that they are loners for it. Mio is one of the poster girls for a busty sukumizu wearers, and she makes it look great. She's worn both types, blue and white depending on season (so I think). And that's it as far as the bottom goes. She usually tries to wear a military uniform on top consisting of a white long-sleeved jacket/shirt with some ornamentation on the shoulders. And that's basically all.
Grade: A
Mind
Personality: Mio is a zealous fighter who, even if the odds are against her, will never give up. That's partially what makes her such a good sub-commander. Unfortunately, this has a downside as even though her age has sapped her magical strength she still feels a need to join the battle. This makes her very vulnerable, and she created her sword, the Reppumaru, in order to block attacks.
She's also a strict, yet kind character. She is tough on her recruits, and often plays the "bad cop". New recruits even occasionally call her "Sakamoto the Demon" behind her back. Other than her disciplinarian actions, she's quite friendly, and has a very distinct laugh, which is extremely hearty. She is quite like the old "samurai"-type characters when it comes to things like righteousness and honor as well.
Technobabble: Mio carries a 13mm Type99 Machine-gun into a battle along with a magical katana strapped to her back capable of cutting apart giant Neuroi. Her Striker Unit is based on the A6M Zero (in second season she receives a new Striker, based probably on the Kyuushuu J7W1 Shinden) and she herself is based on Saburo Sakai and Tetsuzō Iwamoto.
Grade: B
Libido: You know how in shonen series, for example, the lead male always seems oblivious to the female's flirting? Mio is basically the female version of that. Whether she notices that she has admirers (and she'd have to be oblivious to not notice Perrine) or if she just writes it off because it is unimportant in battle is a mystery.
Grade: C+
Age: She ages from 19 to 20 between seasons. This is fortunate for me, as those ages are fine. Unfortunately, this also has a very negative effect on her magic (which is usually stronger in younger girls).
Grade: A
