My favourite anime OP
I have seen some other people doing this in their blogs, so I decided to make my own most favourite anime OPENING list. I hope you will like the choises I made. I will be refreshing the list every now and then to make new adds or change positioning of the songs. Always feel free to leave your comments about it.

This OP with the high pitched voice of the singer and cellist Kanon Wakeshima makes it an unearthly, magic expierience. Something like a beautiful lament of a haunting bedtime story.

I love this second OP song and how it fits with the animation! Especially when it says " goodbye precious life"- baaaang(the gun).. I LOVE that part. And how it shows memories from their childhood. The lyrics are great too!

I LOVE this one, it gets me so pumped up! How can someone not like this?? The song is fuckin EPIC. Luuuuv the lyrics as well!

Another song by SID. What can I say? They are one of the best! And this song is what Bleach is all about. I love such dynamic and powerful songs like this and I also love the animation for this OP, which is unique and fantastic! Love how Ichigo "sings" the last lines. Bass ftw!

No matter what number I list it, I will always love this song to the smallest bits, because the lyrics and music hold so much meaning connected to the story, which is one of my most favourite ones ever. I owe to this anime a lot! My decision to start Japanese lessons and to dive more into the beautiful world of manga and anime. Thank you! <3

This anime starts good and then it takes an unexpected turn, which isn't bad, but it's a love or hate thing. It involves a church, military and priests, all in a supernatural setting, which I personally found intriguing. As for the OP, it's beautiful overall and I particularly love the change of tone to the chorus in the end. Also both OP and anime have outstanding animation! I hope for this to get a second season someday.

This anime is one of my favourites, and while rewatching it I realised how much I liked this song. I love the lyrics and how they fit with Lelouch's struggle to change the world for his sister, Nunnaly.

Bright colors, quick beats, zombies, tanks and guns everywhere. And so much tention! This will please more the male audience out there, but it's also for everyone that loves high paced, action shows, like I do. :)

I love the soft voice of the singer, the great piano playing and all the animation done for the opening. This anime although short was mostly sweet, kind and sincere, it touched my heart. Definitely watch it if you haven't yet! Briefly, it's about after life and some people fighting to preserve their memories and prevent their reincarnation.

Original, with nice beats and unique dynamic. The animation is cool with quick cuts and bright colors as the anime.

Powerful with lots of beats and really unique sound to it, fits with the show like a glove!

This is a classic that I couldn't leave out. I just remember knowing this song for ages! This anime is a real brainf*ck, but I love it nevertheless!

My first anime love, I adore this theme. I had first heard it in Greek dub, but I came to love the Japanese version too rewatching it later. It's an old time favourite, so I had to fit it somewhere in my list. I put the Greek dub next to the original, just because that's the one I really loved and grew up with as a kid! :)

One of the few grasping anime of the thriller genre! Watch it at night only if you are an M-type! xD haha
The OP is creepy and has a sort of an arabic-eastern sound to it, which is very refreshing.

This beautiful OP couldn't prepare me for the laughable, horrendous anime that followed.. Still this OP alone is a piece of art, so it deserves to be mentioned. Drawings inspired by Gutsav Klimt's outsanding artwork "The Embrace" and "The Kiss" (i was lucky to see both in Belvedere museum in Vienna). It's a beautiful concept as a whole, with the Latin lyrics, etc. Pitty the anime was so bad as this music is beautiful and creepy!

Darker Than Black

Artist: Abingdon Boys School
This anime was quite good, with low rewatch value, though. Still it holds some good ideas, and surely it had quit powerful OP and ED themes. And this is one of my favourites.

There's a lot to watch in here, as it is a long list but nice taste you have. Deadman Wonderland and Mirai Nikki OPs have a lot in common and I would prob add them both in TOP-20 OPs list if I wouöd ever make one. Nice classics in there too, like Evangelion and Sailor Moon (from which I've watched a couple of episodes from Finnish TV dubbed in Swedish :D)The best new find from this list for me was Angel Beats's opening. Damn, what a nice animation and excellent keyboard melodies! |

Very cool! Sometimes though it is a bit irrational.. xD but overal it's enjoyable so far and ofc that songs is amazing, I love it too!Hehe Umineko couldn't be left out, that song is pure epic! Those songs that don't have comments underneath are the new ones, that's an easy way to recognise them, (since I was bored to write a comment). lol xD Maybe I'll put sth later. |

Wow, great list! I went from having a minor interest in Deadman Wonderland to LOVING THE OPENING OMG and now I really, REALLY wanna see it~ ♥Also, I haven't had much exposure to Naruto despite it being so popular and the opening themes you picked are quite nice. :3 I also like how you threw in some oldies but goodies, like Sailor Moon. And I also love Elfen Lied's opening and, of course, Higurashi's. Good work, great choices! Thanks for sharing! X3 |

thnx a lot Bill-kun! ;) Well, Elfen Lied was... let's just say I want to forget about it. I think the creators were high while making it. Anyway, Code Geass is in my opinion brilliant! Well, some picky people prefer to trash it cause it's "mainstream"... but what the heck? their loss! LOL
