To compliment the anime openings list, here are some of my favorite anime endings, also per the 20+ club. I'm a simple guy and this is a simple list. Again, except for the first, they are in no particular order:

1: Beck

Song- My World Down Artist- Meister

This is definetely my favorite. The song fucking rocks like crazy. I must have listened to it 4 or 5 times just now before i started this because i dig it so much. If i had to go one anime soundtrack, it would be Beck. Plus the pictures of so many artists I love just makes it take the cake...mmm cake.

2: Ergo Proxy

Song- Paranoid Android Artist- Radiohead

Two fucking words. Radio. Head. I'm not sure I really need to say anything else. Actually I won't, that is all.

3: Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood ending 1

Song- USO Artist- Sid

It's hard to go wrong with anything that goes along with FMAB, but this ending is just so fun. The song isn't my favorite part. I think it's really the animation that draws me in and the music just kinda adds to it.

4: FLCL

Song- Ride on Shooting Star Artist- The Pillows

It's a funky, rocking song, and fits the disjointedness of FLCL pretty well i think. I wasn't as huge fan of the anime as some other people, I did like it though, but i always stuck around for the whole song when each episode ended. That says a lot because usually I'm onto the next whatever i'm gonna watch or do.

5: Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann ending 1

Song- Underground Artist- High Voltage

I've just started this anime (I know, late to the party, as usual) but after scratching my head after watching the first episode, I heard this, and it grabbed me enough to stick it out. Now I enjoy the series, but I always look forward to finishing an episode for this song. It rocks, I love the riff, the dude singing is awesome...the whole fucking thing is awesome.

6: Yami no Matsuei

Song- Love Me Artist- The Honk Kong Knife

Enjoyed this anime despite the shonen-ai aspects of it =P. I really liked this song though. The opening of this song is just killer, it just jumps right into it and grabs. The vocals are so spastic and fun, it's fast, it makes me wanna just jump on a stage and go crazy again.

7: Eve no Jikan

Song- Time of Tenderness Artist- Rie Tanaka

Just recently watched this, and this is usually out of my comfort zone, but her voice is killer and inviting. I could totally light some candles, open a book, and put this on a loop and be content in the world.

8: Ghost in the Shell 2nd Gig

Song- Living Inside the Shell Artist- Steve Conte

Again, not something like I'd usually listen to, but it's so soothing and kinda...heartbreaking in a way. I wouldn't say it's a guilty pleaure, by no means, but just unusual for me. Composed by Yoko Kanno, as are many great songs btw, it along with the opening are great bookends for each episode of this series.

9: Code Geass: Hangyaku no Lelouch ending 2

Song- Mosaic Pieces Artist- Mozaiku Kakera

I actually don't love this song, i love the riff, though light, in the background. It's a good song don't get me wrong, but I'm a sucker for that style of playing. Fuck I wish I could play. URG

10: Gungrave

Song- When the Sky Burns Red Artist- Scoobie Do

It's hard to describe how this song makes me feel. Again I love that guitar sound, but that fiddle is killer too. There's something, too, about the delivery of the vocals, very appealing. Though I'm a metal and rock guy at heart, this is a band I'd want to be in.

11: Canaan

Song- My Heaven Artist- Annabel

Forgive the terrible video with spanish subtitles and text all over the fucking screen and the last minute or two being silent. It was the best version I could find that was audible at all. Anyways, there's something haunting about this song, and that girl can sing her ass off. What a gift. Why can't I sing?

12: Samurai Champloo ending 1

Song- Shiki no Uta Artist- Minmi

I love the overdubbing vocals in this song. It makes it sound ethereal. I also love how spartan it is, that is to say, nothing is added that isn't needed. It's very simple, has a great groove, and the singing is great.

That's it for now, I will add later as i will to the OP list. I was gonna put Escaflowne on here too, but they keep fucking deleting the video on my OP list, so...yeah it's annoying. Unofficially it's there though. Check it out =D. See ya.

Upon a suggestion from justiceundone on 20+ club, here is my favorite, thus far, openings to anime. They are subject to change and be added to as my horizons expand ^_^. Nothing special or any surprises, just my modest favorites. In no particular order:

1. Macross Plus OVA

Song- Voices Artist- Akino Arai

English dub

Song- Voices Artist- Michelle Flynn

Ok, well in no particular order, except for this. This is by far my favorite, both versions. I could not bear to share just one. The original japanese is that heartbreakingly beautiful a capella and composed by the wonderfully talented Yoko Kanno. Though dubs are taboo, the english version of this song, to me, is no less beautiful, and the music adds a lot. I love it. In fact I'm going to sleep to it tonight now.

2. Beck

Song- Hit in the USA Artist- Beat Crusaders

I'm sure part of this is recency effect as I finished Beck recently, and honestly it's not even close to my favorite song on the show, but it is infectious. It's so damn catchy and I find myself singing it alone all the time. I find it captures the spirit of the show pretty well too. Really it's just fun.

3. Paranoia Agent

Song- Dream Island Obsessional Park Artist- Susumu Hirasawa

You know I enjoyed the show, but I didn't totally love it. This opening though, it's so haunting. The song is...I don't know, it's just fucking brilliant. It evokes hope, despair, insanity, impending doom, and is so heartful. I don't even know the traslation and I don't think I want to, it's perfect as it is not knowing. The images speak for themselves, with their trance-like irrationality. It's perfect.

4. Ghost in the Shell 2nd Gig

Song- Rise Artist- Origa

Some of the action in this opening is better than in some entire action shows and movies. When I got this on DVD to finally finish the thing, and I didn't think I could watch another episode because it was like 3 AM, this opening always got me ready for another viewing, easily. Of course composed, once again, by the brilliant Yoko Kanno.

5. Mushishi

Song- The Sore Feet Song Artist- Ally Kerr

Maybe the best example I have on this list of the opening setting the tone for the show. It makes me want to make some soothing tea, throw on my PJs, and climb into bed and enjoy life with this wonderful thought provoking anime. I'm by no means a folk music lover, I dabble, but it's just perfect for it. I half expect to see Ginko with some headphones listening to this song as he's traveling through his world looking for mushi. Again, just perfect.

6. Darker than Black first OP

Song- Howling Artist- Abington Boys School

It seems too easy. Everybody seems to love Darker than Black and the opening. Sometimes there's a reason for that...like it's AWESOME. I don't know what else to say about it honestly. It just rocks, gets you hyped up and ready to watch the show. I couldn't find the best example I wanted from youtube, but it's late, I'm tired, and I don't feel like searching all night. I'm sure you understand.

7. Witch Hunter Robin

Song- Shell Artist- Bana

Honestly, nothing really philosophical or analytical here. I like the show, I like the song, and I like how brooding Robin is here in the opening, like the teenager she is. Another song I find myself humming all the time. Just great.

8. SDF Macross

Ahhh the 80s, gotta love it. I had to put something from my young life, my introductory path to anime. Though I first discovered this through the adaptation of Robotech, I found the original not too long after. That singer sure believes in his subject eh? So epic! ^_^

9. Vision of Escaflowne

Song- Yakusoku wa Iranai Artist- Maaya Sakamoto

I just couldn't not put my favorite anime of all time on any list, and to be frank, it's so wonderfully dramatic and evokative. Obviously I am biased, this is my favorite show, not just anime, but show of any kind. I adore everything about it, opening included. Of course it's another Yoko Kanno venture. What an artist she is.

I could have found another to make it an even top 10, but I'm not one to comprimise on such things. Plus it's late and I'm lazy. Had a glass of wine too. My tolerance is not what it used to be. Nothing groundbreaking or transcendental, just what I like and I won't apologize for it. I won't! Well sorry I'm not the best at formats and codes and such. I'm sure many others are much prettier ^_^. I'm sure I will add to this later.
