This is the Hundred-and-seventy-seventh week of using the "Perfect Anime Girl Sheet". Notice: This Blog may contain Unmarked Spoilers.
Unknown to everyone, a mysterious cloaked figure appears in last week's battleground. "She" quickly notices that a battle occurred here. She then kneels down and inspects one of Topaz's foot prints. She then scoops up a small amount of dirt from the print, as if to identify how old it is. Then, as quickly as the mystery person arrived, "she" disappears.
Welcome back everyone. If you haven't noticed, the past few weeks have been hectic. What with the people coming after my life and not being able to blog about anime girls for a few weeks. However, thanks to certain helpful people I'm on my way to safety and have fully healed.
: Oi! Don't forget about having some of your favorite girls getting brainwashed!
Indeed, such as my lovely savior Nagi here. She's saved me no less than twice already! At the moment we're all being driven by helicopter to a place where Rika and Topaz are planning our next move.
: And we're nearly there, but it looks like the radar is picking up two hostile enemies coming from the rear.
Heh heh heh...
: This is no time to be making jokes, Topaz!
*Beams of light shoot past the Helicopter, nearly hitting it, but due to Akira's evasive actions they all miss.*
Y-You!
: Who else but? After all, I can't have you being able to regroup and calm down. I was planning on striking you down here, but you avoided my attacks. However, I still have a trump card; Come out, Pawn Stratos!
*A red machine soon pops up near the Helicopter, and it's soon obvious who Pawn Stratos is...
: (angrily) Topaz no Ecchi!
You dare to use one of my favorite characters against me then! You fiend!
: Flattery will get you nowhere, Topaz. But I'm not going to have her strike you down. Instead... NOW!
*Charlotte grabs a hold of the base of the helicopter, keeping it in the metal claws of her Stratos machine.
Charlotte, snap out of the mind control! You can save our lives if you do so!
: Topaz no.. Ecchi?
: She can't here you Topaz, I blocked all of her understanding. Now, all she can do is my bidding as well as speak your "silly phrase". I thought you'd appreciate being done in while hearing her sexy voice.
Charlotte! I know you're still in there. You can easily break free of this Mind control!
*Quattro starts to store up energy to shoot as Topaz and the girls try to get Charlotte to stop keeping the helicopter held in place (as its propellers are useless against the power of a Stratos.
: You'll never be able to break my mind control like that. But it's still too late for you!
*Quattro shoots a large beam at the helicopter. However...
: (regaining consciousness but still weakened) Ichika-No, wait. Topaz. Topaz, I'll help..
*At the last second Charlotte moves the helicopter out of the way. However, not only does she get in on the blast, but the helicopter still gets hit in the back and falls to the city below.
: Not only did I get Topaz, but it seems that a traitorous girl was revealed and destroyed. I suppose that I should start using higher level spells if I want to brainwash anyone else!
: You won't be brainwashing anyone else.
*Char soon comes flying out of the area between buildings she fell out of. She looks alright, but the Stratos is in poor shape due to the magical attack. However, her initial surprise attack was avoided by Quattro.
: I suppose that for safety's sake I should re-brainwash you. I can't have a traitor kill me, I still have so much to do. Dominate!
*Quattro once again uses her magic to take Charlotte against her will*
Meanwhile...
*The helicopter Topaz is riding in is slowly descending towards the ground as Akira's experience flying is helping her land as safely as possible. However...
: I don't think that I can land it safely. Anyone have any ideas?
: Can't we just bail out?
: Unfortunately we don't have enough parachutes for all of us. *looks toward Nagi*
: Oh sure, blame ME!
: Don't worry, I have. Do you have any ideas, Nagi?
: Er... If my magic was stronger...
THAT'S IT!
: What? What are you talking about?
We'll put your magic to the test. I'll try to summon an anime girl, and if your magic was weak then the curse would still be active and we die. However, if you believe in yourself I'll be able to summon someone to safely keep us in the air!
: I believe in the you that believes in me!
Come forth girls! SUMMON!
*Out of Topaz's summoning circle comes a beautiful shapely woman.
???: Master!
: I don't know why, but her body really angers me...
I can guess why. But enough of that, please help us!
: Gladly, Master.
*Ren uses her antigravity abilities to make the broken helicopter rise back up through the sky line.
: I see, so you're alive as well. No matter, it's not like you have anyone to defend yourselves!
... I forgot about you...
: Idiot.
: Idiot.
Shut up.
: Master, do not worry, I brought something to aid us against any foe!
That's bright thinking, Ren. Your antigravity is holding us up so I hoped you weren't completely defenseless.
: Indeed. For Ren has MELON BREAD! *holds up plastic bag full of melon bread heroically*
... Ren
: Is Master going to compliment Ren now?
Ren, how is melon bread going to save us from a powerful mage with god-like powers?
: It will surely distract her long enough so that we can safely arrest her. I learned in advertisements!
Ren, I don't think that's going to work...
: You could always throw it at her and hit her in the eye or something. You never know...
: Master's friend has a brilliant idea.
*Ren throws a few melon breads at Quattro. Unsurprisingly, they hit her energy shields and are evaporated.
: I can't believe that you thought that throwing a few breads at me would work! *Starts to laugh evilly.* I mean, you must be pretty desperate that you would think that a simple thing like MELONPAN would kill me. I mean, that vile creation tastes horrible sure, but that doesn't mean that throwing at me would cause any damage. I mean really, it's just what, sludge in a stale bun? HAHAHA!
*Suddenly the sky becomes purple and the people in the streets pause. A figure starts flying up towards Quattro, and blazes past her, barely singing her clothes.
: Who-who are you?
???: I go by many names, and yet at one point no name...
: It is I, the Flame-Haired Blazing-Eyed Hunter herself: Shana!
: Why are you HERE of all places?
: Isn't it obvious. You insult the great taste of Melon bread, you've got to deal with ME!
: I see then, but can you defeat both me and my ally?
: (afraid) T-Topaz no ecchi...
"
: I am confident in my flames that I can easily destroy you, vile opponent!"
*Shana uses her sword to deflect Charlotte's mechanical melee attacks as her wings of flames keep absorbing Quattro's energy by covering Shana's . However, she's unable to press her advantage due to the constant onslaught.
: Master, who is this fellow melon bread lover?
Oh, you don't know who Shana is? Well, then I suppose that I can do a blog on her.
: Oh yeah, you have a blog. Are you sure that the readers won't complain about an intro this long?
Head
Hair: Now some people may be wondering why the image above has a different hair color than her color in my blog before. This is because her color changes in battle, and I'll get to that later. Outside of battle is obviously my favorite, as Shana has long black hair in it. She occasionally has twintails or a ponytail and they look cute, but I prefer her original look of flowing hair. She also has an ahoge sticking straight up.
In battle, Shana has a different hair color. It's red, hence the "flame-haired" part of her title. Now, most readers should know by now that I do not like red hair. Shana, however, is an exception. First off it's not like this permanently, just in battle (though given the show style that Shana is, that could lead to over half a season straight with red hair). Another plus is that her hair isn't totally red and still retains black "shadows" in it. Finally, there's also her "particle effects". To give off the "flaming" look, small "embers" continually come off of her hair, and it looks pretty cool.
Grade: A-
Eyes: Much like her hair, Shana's eyes change in battle. Usually, they're a calm, round, and golden-brownish color. It matches her eyes well and I like them. In battle, much like her hair her eyes turn red (hence the remainder of her nickname). They also become fiercer looking, and I like the style more than her "calmer" eyes. both are very nice though.
Grade: B-
Face: Shana is a very adorable girl. She's pretty and simple, and has a nice small nose. She also shows he emotions quite well, and gets a lot of very cute scenes.
Grade: A-
Body
Build: I am not a lolicon. I've said this numerous times. I like busty, curvy girls, not boring flat ones.
: Hey!
Okay, with a few exceptions, I prioritized liking the busty girls more than the flat characters in an individual series. I never thought anything of it. Until Shana. Shana not only has a wonderful loli body, but she's shown off just enough to not get too bothersome. She's got a nice butt and legs, and a wonderful flat stomach. I don't know why, but for whatever reason Shana seemed to flip all of my "loli" emotions and made me realize that there's nothing wrong with being a lolicon. For further information, she's 146 cm tall and weighs 37 kg. As for her "poor" grade for all my praise, it's this: She's still a "loli". A really fine looking one, but I do have to penaltize her for that.
Grade: B+
Breasts: You know how Rie Kugimiya tends to play the same "archetype" of the flat, tsundere, and usually short tsundere? This is where it all started. I hope you picked up my "subtle" hint of what I think here.
Grade: D
Clothes: Shana wears numerous outfits in the series. At school, she has a school uniform that consists of a green collared and partial-sleeved white shirt and matching skirt. The shirt has a few buttons as well as an occasional bow, and the skirt has the buttons as well. She also wears a black trenchcoat or cape that is actually her Treasure Tool Yogasa which is effectively a coat she can store nearly endless stuff in. Occasionally we see her wearing that and maybe a bottom as well. She's also worn pure bandage wraps as well, as well as a school swimsuit (always a plus with her body shape), a yukata, and a gym uniform. There was even a time when she dressed up for the school festival as well, not to mention the nice black lolita-like dress she wore in Seireiden. If we include official art, she's also worn a maid outfit and a miko outfit.
Grade: A
Mind
Personality: Shana, as said before, is THE original Riesundere. However, she's more kuudere at times compared to more modern tsunderes. Still, don't be surprised if she tells you to "Urasai!" if you anger her. Shana is a girl without much social skills as well as it takes a while for her to warm up to anyone (excluding Carmel who was her caretaker). She gets more with her emotions as the story goes on, but is confused once she started falling in love. Still, she's talented and intelligent, telling teachers the correct answer to questions and doing very well in PE. She also has a great fondness for sweets, especially melon bread. Melon bread is her favorite as it reminds her of Carmel who would pick one up for her throughout her childhood.
To be fair though, Shana isn't her name. Her sword's name is Nietono no Shana and Yuji (the male lead) gave her the name "Shana" because of it. Otherwise she didn't use a name other than her title "Flame-Haired Burning-Eyed Hunter". She didn't see any use in it after all, her childhood was mainly getting ready to become a Flame Haze and that didn't get to learn much about socializing. As for what a Flame Haze is? I could go a great deal into the workings of the world that Shana comes from. However, the cliff notes version is that she's a demon hunter that has made a contract with a powerful connection (in this case, Alastor, Flame of the Heavens. He's in her glowing necklace if you ever see him). Also, all Flame Hazes have some sort of fire attacks. Shana's include making her sword flaming and phoenix wings, but her strongest is to use her flame to create a giant hand. Shana is very powerful as well, and is nearly unstoppable in combat.
I do like Shana as a character, she's got a great personality and a very well-defined backstory. She'll never be one of my favorites, but overall she's a great example of a well-written character.
Oh, and about the name "Yukari Hirai"? That's an identity that Shana used to infiltrate Yuji's school.
Grade: B+
Libido: Being an archetypal "tsundere", you can imagine that Shana doesn't fall in love easily. She does fall for Yuji fairly quickly, but she doesn't acknowledge it. As I said before, Shana didn't exactly have a "social" childhood and didn't know what love is. She even asks her friend (and rival in love) Kazumi how babies are made, to which Kazumi replied that asking that question was similar to showing off her naked body (and Shana would know what that was like). At first, she tries to ignore Yuji, but once she starts to have to bodyguard him and spend time together their chemistry really meshes well. In the finale she does remain with him, so all is good.
Grade: B
Age: Shana, as a Flame Haze, is technically immortal. It's said that she looks between 13 and 14, but she could be any number of years old. She does look like a middle/high schooler either way.

*The battle rages on, with Shana keeping the upper hand against both Quattro and Charlotte.
: Give up, Melonpan hater. You're only making this difficult for yourself.
: Nonsense, you're the one that's outnumbered, and besides you look exhausted from battling both of us!
: Urusai! Urusai! Urusai! Prepare for my ultimate attack, fiend!
*Shana pulls out a few rings and throws them in the air. Then, a giant flaming hand heads towards Charlotte and Quattro. Quattro is able to dodge it (though not entirely), but it hits Charlotte square on, causing her Stratos unit to break down and she slowly falls to the ground.
Charlotte! *dives to catch her!
: MASTER! But I can't carry these people and go for Master as well...
: You fool! *dives to catch Topaz and Charlotte*
*Eventually Shana catches both people and glides down on her wings. Quattro, seeing that this is a good opportunity to escape, cuts her losses and runs.
Charlotte! Are you alright?
: Topaz no ecchi!
Oh no! She's still mind controlled!
: No... Your hand was on my chest!
Er, that was accidental!
*eventually, Topaz, Charlotte and Shana catch up to the others at the broken down helicopter.
: And that was the first time any one flew that helicopter. I'm just glad that I can afford a new one.
: Good to see you alive, Topaz. We should still hurry and get to the safe house as it's nearby now.
You heard her folks. Next week hopefully won't be as hectic!
