I'm a college student at UC Irvine. I have been using mal as a username handle since my highschool days when I was in a heavy metal band called mallum crucem. Don't ask me what the hell that means, my friends made it up! The first animes I remember watching were Ninja Scrolls and Akira. After that, a friend of mine turned me on to Naruto and Berserk. Since then my tastes have refined quite a bit from fighting animes such as: Basilisk, samurai champloo, trigun, and cowboy bebop; to dramas such as: Kimi ga Nozumu Eien, Air, Clannad; and even Moe animes such as Rosario + Vampire, K-on!, and Toradora!. As the process grows, I've turned into more and more of an otaku! The only thing I have a hard time watching is Mecha animes, sorry mecha lovers :(.
