Both series are about humans who have supernatural powers. In Darker than Black there are Contractors who have these powers and in Speed Grapher there are Euphorias who have these superhuman powers. The stories of these anime are good and related to the modern world. There are also girls who the main guy wants to help and protect.

Both anime consists of a sister with an evil brother. The sister regains her memories gradually, while the brother waits for her in the end. It consists of gun play action, and the sister tries to defeat her brother.

They have weapons/firearms coming out of character's TITS that represent some sort of phallic imagery. The only difference is while both of them have under-aged heroines who are still supposed to be in middle school one looks like a loli and the other looks like a young woman in their highschool/college years for some inexplicable reason.

Both anime have a similar dark genre with intense and clever fighting scenes. Both feature a main character who has been thrust into a world/ has become, a being which they weren't before, and has to overcome the difficulties which come with it (either being a contractor or a ghoul). Main characters also have to learn from gifted friends of the same species, and both feature great character development as they must figure out how to behave in their new world and interact with the 'normal' people around them. In my opinion, both anime are also ranked very highly on my list. I am also  read more

Similar characters with a cold, dark air about them. They both kill in extraordinary ways and are lone wolves that use others/clients similar feel to the anime (if you truly watch anime you know what I mean)

Both anime has quite similar to it. Contractors and dicloniuses are ruthless cold machines for killing with supernatural abilities and the shows overall are wrapped in phantom, you just constantly filingl that there will be no real happy ending.

both deal with the underground world and people with superpowers

Very similiar depressing/dark atmosphere in both of the series. In DTB there are contractors who are the outcasts, while in Wolf's Rain it's wolves. And they share a common studio, Bones, so the art is very similiar.

The feeling of the series is very similiar : "Dark". (Also to the main series "Darker than Black" is very similiar to The unlimited) And of course both animes are about special powers, like ESP. The main characters are neither good nor bad people - kinda in the "gray" zone, thats what makes the character developement interesting. And while Hyobu tries his best to save Yuugiri, and fulfill her wishes, Hei travels with Suou on his journey and is kinda a mentor to her.

both have a calm atmosphere, mysterious stories and story telling method which leaves u wanting for more! Both have different characters brought together in the story because of one common incident

The similarities in these two are that viewers go in expecting the story to be explained. Both Eva and DTB leave thousands of unanswered questions as the series progress and, we as viewers want a defined outcome of the plot and to know what happened to the characters. Well, in both cases these dreams get the absolute shaft. Eva and DTB left me in a confused state with more questions than I had before and that ever familiar feeling at the end of the series: "What the f*ck???" Despite that neither of them are clear about what happened, they keep you on the edge of  read more

Cool protagonists, fiction-based adventurous drama. Nice actions & a good sense of humor from time to time.

Both are about people with special abilities. Dark atmosphere! Keeps you on the edge of your seat. A lot of plot twists! Not to scary, but not a children's show. I really enjoyed both of these that I am alway rewatching them and seeing things I missed the first time around!
