As in Shuffle!, there is a wide variation of characters. The story is based on magic, similar to Shuffle!'s main plot. There is also quite a resemblance between character personalities. I also recommend Da Capo: Second Season.
Almost the same kind of harem jealousy found in both. Male protagonist approach varieties of unique female characters and ultimately found his true love.
Both are enjoyable harem shows with good emphasis on poignant and dramatic moments. Both also boast of good musical scores which enhance the feel of the series.
They're similar in a way that they're both harem series. When I watched Shuffle! it gave me thoughts about DC. There's only a tiny difference between the two, the other one's somehow predictable unlike the other one...
You can see many similarities in both series. Such as the character personalities and changes such as Sakura and Kaede(The "Psychos"), and Asa and Nemu (The "Victims").
you'll know it when you watch it :D
both many girl fallen in love in one guy
both are typical harem series with loads of attractive and unique females all in love and fighting over the same not-so-attractive, not-so-unique guy
-Both animes's setting/story goes by an omnibus format, and have small arcs for each heroine that doesn't diverge from the central plot of the story (with the setting intact)
-Each girl receives her own arc
-Drama, romance, comedy, bromance, school life, all along with supernatural tones
Same premise, harem, but different characters and story.

Both animes focus on an illegitimate brother and sister relationship (although in both cases they're not blood related) involving the male protagonist. And while this love in coming into fruition, other girls are also typically interested in this male protagonist. In addition, magic plays a vital role in either helping this relationship develop or hindering it in both animes. One thing to note is that Da Capo has more harem (i.e. more girls interested in the main character) relative to Gift.
Two romantic comedy dramas (Heavier emphasis on drama rather than comedy) anime that revolve around sis-con (Sister-Complex) relationships between the male lead and female lead. Both stories also occur in a similar setting involving a town or city that grants people's wishes or desires due to a mysterious or magical object.
There are many similar character archetypes and personalities to be found between both anime as well, and the visual artstyle is strikingly similar.
same scenes or same happenings.. the only big difference is just that the girls in da capo are inlove with the male protagonist.while in gift they just like him as their friend(i guess)..
first off, both gift and da capo has a brother-sister complex. In Gift the couple is Riko and Haruhiko, in da capo the couple is Nemu and Junichi , both of the anime have siblings as a couple.
Second, in gift, the magic that grant wish is the unfaded rainbow, rainbow that always show up, meanwhile in da capo, the magic based on the undying sakura tree, sakura that always blooms.
Third, both in gift and da capo, the male protagonist is being around some girls. In Gift Haruhiko surrounded by Riko, Kirino, Chisa, Rinka, Yukari and Nami. In da capo Junichi surrounded by Nemu, Sakura, Miharu, Moe, Mako, Misaki and Kotori.
Fourth both in gift and da capo, the male protagonist has 1 friend (a guy, not a girl) . In Gift Haruhiko's friend is Masaki, while in Da Capo Junichi's friend is Suginami.
Fifth, both in gift and da capo, there are the victim and the psyco . Both the victim in gift and da capo is the sister. In Gift the victim is Fuko, Haruhiko's younger sister, and the psyco is Kirino, haruhiko's childhood friend. In Da Capo the victim is Nemu, Junichi's younger sister, and the psyco is Sakura, Junichi's cousin .
Many of similarities in both Gift and Da Capo, those five is the one i remember, so if you like gift, you will like da capo too. It's the same if you like Da Capo, the you will like gift as well .
Based on a visual novel by the same company (though Gift was produced under slightly different circumstances), both Gift and Da Capo share similar comedy/romance/harem themes, as well as the underlying ambiance of magic and fantasy, and how it can be used for good or bad. Both shows also cover the infamous "siblings but not REALLY siblings" relationship.
if da capo used sakura tree, gift used rainbow.
And the male protagonist acts like jun'ichi
the female protagonist looks like kotori
The art/animation style of Gift is similar to Da Capo. Circus also has a hand in the production of the visual novels of both titles and therefore the similarity.
Both series are considered harem with the main protagonist dealing with the girls in her life in a school life setting mixed in with supernatural themes.
Both series has elements of romance, drama, comedy, and some emotional moments as well that balances out the story.
Both have a VERY similar story. Someone close to one of the characters dies and before they die, they cast a magic that is supposed to protect and help them. The magic is represented in the form of an everyday thing (Rainbow/Sakura tree). The characters end up having problems with the magic later on in life and so they destroy it.

When I watched this I had strong feeling of Dejavu. Both the main heroes' name are Ju nichi as well. The animation quality was nicely done for both as well. Although some different in character design the characters from Akane-Iro give an oddly familiar feeling to that of Da Capo's cast as well, especially Minato (*cough* Nemu *cough*).
I think the similarities are overwhelming. Both mains are named Junichi, both have an "incestual" interest of the main with a sister that is not of blood relation, and both consist of a wide array of cast appealing to guys, from the "imouto" feel of Da Capo's Sakura, to the rich, snobby tsundere of Akane's Yuuhi. Take your picks.
Though, personally, the storyline of Da Capo is far more appeal, as too are the girls.
Both are based on H games, both have pretty similar main characters, both have rather interesting overtones. The way the plot flows for both series are also very similar.
Both center around the budding romantic relationship between brother and sister, non-blood related.
If you enjoyed Akane-iro ni Somaru Saka, watch Da Capo. They have the same feeling and the characters are similar, Akane-iro ni Somaru Saka's protagonist Junichi is like Da Capo's main protagonist Junnichi because they both have a younger sister taking care of them.
Da Capo and Akane-iro really has a lot of similarities. I even felt Dejavu after watching these two. Both animes are worth watching and both good. Both animes are all about Drama, Romance, and Comedy. Although Da Capo has a magical feeling into it though. But I have to say they are almost 100% similar to each other. Even the characters' personality, appearances, etc. If I can still remember correctly, here are the characters of Akane-iro and their respective Da Capo counterparts.
Nagase, Junichi - Asakura, Junichi >> Both are the main heroes of their respectice anime and they have the same Christian name in "Junichi" as well. And in the end, both of them made lovey-dovey with their respective little sisters.
Nagase, Minato - Asakura, Nemu >> Both are the main heroines of their anime. Both are adopted little sisters, in love with their Onii-chan, both of them even call their brothers "Nii-san", both wear ribbons(although Nemu has two and Minato only has one), both takes care of their homes and as well as their little brothers. The only problem is that Minato can cook and Nemu can't(but she's been improving a bit).
Katagiri, Yuuhi - Yoshino, Sakura >> Not much to say about these two, all I know is that they are both transfer students from said anime and are also in love with the main hero. And both have cute voices as well(Rie Kugumiya for Yuuhi and Yukari Tamura for Sakura).
Nishino, Fuyuhiko - Suginami >> Both guys store some reliable information in them, Fuyuhiko through the Student Council and Suginami through the Newspaper club. And supports both Junichi and Junichi as well.
Shiraishi, Nagomi - Amakase, Miharu >> Both characters are freshmen and both of them just come out of nowhere to do comedy for the viewers. And both characters are scientists-like as well(I only saw that part of Miharu from D.C.S.S. though).
Kiryu, Tsukasa - Mizukoshi, Moe >> I only have one reason why these two characters are alike. Simple. Bust Size. And both are always doing what they love. Tsukasa via Photography and Moe via cooking Nabe.
Ayanokouji, Karen - Mizukoshi, Mako >> Both girls are rich and they also both hides feelings for the two Junichis as well. They both own a company(in Mako's case, Moe also has a share with it since they're both sisters).
Sugishita, Seijirou - Shirakawa, Koyomi >> Both are teachers and the class adviser for both main characters. And they share a bond with the two idols at their respective schools. Seijirou has a bond with Mitsuki and Koyomi has Kotori as her younger sister.
Shiina, Mitsuki - Shirakawa, Kotori >> Both characters are their schools' respective idols, both characters wear berets. They also have their own crew with them. Each with 2 advisers respectively. Mitsuki having Aya and Mikoto and Kotori having Mikkun and Tomo. Both crews are a club as well. Mitsuki and co. at the Student Council and Kotori and co. with the Music club. Both have bonds with their teachers, Mitsuki with Seijirou and Kotori with her elder sister, Koyomi. I also have my own personal reason why I chose these two characters having similarities. They are both my favorite characters in their respective series as well. :D
They have a similar storyline

Again harem/romance type.
similar character designs and behavior.
You got to like it when you liked the other one
All harem animes are similar, don't you think? But I think Canvas 2 is much, much better than Da Capo. Still, I recommend you watch Canvas 2... ^_^
Both feature a main male character that have sister figures who love then more than a sibling and must overcome the feelings of themselves and others to be together.
Both visual novel adaptations with a few character designs by Naru Nanao.
When watching one, I couldn't help but b reminded of the other. They both have the same harem storyline and the character designs are so similar I expected a character from the other series to jump out at any moment.
Canvas 2 is similar in Da Capo 2 in many ways. The artworks are really nice and similar. You basically have a male protagonist in both shows who lives together with a cute girl. It's a similar harem show where the girls is in love with the male protagonist and is easily jealous or mad if they are not the center of attention.

It is a story of love and hidden desires all set in school life. It has a similar setting as Kanon where a male protagonist surrounded by a group of girls and each girl has her own story to tell.
Both animes are about romance and childhood tragedy. Both animes are set in high school. Also, both animes have the same mysterious feeling to them.
-Both animes's setting/story goes by an omnibus format, and have small arcs for each heroine that doesn't diverge from the central plot of the story (with the setting intact)
-Each girl receives her own arc
-Drama, romance, comedy, bromance, school life, all along with supernatural tones

The story of the both almost the same . Love and Romance during their high school life .
Story is very touching and lively as we continue to watch it .
Compare to real life, we need to work hard just to obtain the thing we want >.<
Da Capo is also a romance drama and has many charming aspects to it including interesting side characters and unrequited love. Although not as good as Clannad (in my opinion) both seasons are very much worth a watch!

Both are based off of visual novel and both have incest. While Da Capo is funny, Yosuga no Sora lacks itself on the comedy side. But Yosuga no Sora has nudity and more perverted stuff. And last but not least: Both have Harem!
Both are harem and they both have incest. Only difference is that Da Capo has more comedy and a lighter romance. Yosuga no Sora has nudity and is a lot more perverted. They are both very similar in their own ways though.

-Each girl receives her own arc
-Drama, romance, comedy, bromance, school life, all along with supernatural tones
Both series features a lighthearted setting in the form of high school where most of the main characters resides.
Both series features a type of arc format where each character gets their own spotlight. From those arcs are drama, comedy, romance, and some emotions.
Both series contains supernatural elements.
Both series' main male protagonist also has similar personalities but are also kind to his friends willing to help them whenever needed.

-Both animes focuses very deeply into the story that involves love triangles and one-sided love as well as problems surrounding it.
-School Life/Drama
♫same genres (Drama, Romance, Harem)♫
♫if you love anime based on school, love and all of the other emotions that come with it, both School Days and Da Capo are right up your alley♫

THEY ARE BOTH NICE AND GREAT ANIME! BUT COMPARE THE DRAWINGS: TAYUTAMA IS BETTER THAN DA CAPO! IT IS ALSO HAREM GENRE ANIME! BOTH MORE GIRLS AND CREATIVE MAGIC! IT IS SO GREAT! SUGOI DESU!
|
|
|
They are both romance drama type anime, expect this Da Capo is a harem. However they both contain some supernatural phenomenon.
|
|
|
Harem and Comedy themed as well..
Both female protagonist got their parents killed by car accidents...
Seriously Japan? Stop killing little girls' parents with car accidents!! Or why not come up with something else? Suicide death by train is more common. Go with that. Last I checked, the rate of car accidents there is less compared to many other countries...

By the same company. You can basically copy pasta the characters over. If you watched it you did be like she and she and she look and act veryyyyyy familiar =) But Da Capo has a very different story line but give the same feeling you get watching this.
|

Both dealing with an incest theme (Da Capo to a lesser extent). They're both cute, and serious at times (Although Koi Kaze is almost always very serious).
It's hard to explain, but I highly recommend Da Capo to anyone who liked Koi Kaze. As for Da Capo fans, Koi Kaze is true incest (you know what I mean if you watched Da Capo), but if you think you can handle Koi Kaze, definetly give it a shot.

Da Capo and Happiness are somewhat similar because of the characters. However, in Happiness, there's no harem or what, just magic, and the drama isn't that deep. Also, in Happiness and Da Capo, you can see the friendsdhip of the characters there, so it's really similar...

Both are cute, school-life romance anime that will keep you wanting more.

The result of Sola Project is a team up between Da Capo and Canvas 2, since I watched them both I recommend them
|

Both have sister and brother falling in love and struggling through hard times caused by friends and family.

While Da Capo and Kashimashi's stories are a little different, they do retain similarities. Both are school life anime, and both are about relationships - there is a love triangle in both series. The main character in Da Capo, however, is male. While in Kashimashi the main character is a girl, who used to be a boy - but in both series it's the girl's who are pursuing someone. Romance aside, there are also many comedic and dramatic moments to be had in both series. Also, Yui Horie and Yukari Tamura each voice one of the main characters in both Da Capo and Kashimashi. Which is a pleasant surprise, because the roles they play are very similar in both shows. While I was watching Kashimashi, it didn't scream out Da Capo, but it did remind me of it.

Two peaceful and cute harem animes. If you liked Da Capo, I'm sure you will like To Heart 2.
|
|
|
Da Capo contains many girl charters that love the main male charter in the way Feena loved Tatsuya. Da capo will seem shallow at first but it actually gets pretty emotional near the end. If you like Feena, Da capo will feel like having many different Feena in one show i guess.
|
|
|
Both series contain sister and brother relationship. But Da Capo don't focus only on that, but have also other plot's. Kissxsis is more focuses on the psychical & ecchi part of this relationship, while Da Capo on the psychological & romantic part.
