Buying the DVDs might be jumping the gun. In the worse case scenario, it may be a repeat of the Sister Princess purchase.
So it depends. If there are any alternative viewing methods, go with those. No questions. Otherwise, I can't really discourage buying the DVDs. It's not a bad purchase, but not a good one either.

Well, the story and everything else in itself is pretty good. Better than its original manga in fact. (The anime actually chooses a nice spot to end the story, whereas the manga drags itself to its ruin.)
It's just that the animation... oh, I can't say it. I was horrified by the quality; especially because I was really into the manga at the time. Yeah, just brace yourself. It should lessen the shock... I think. T_T
