Both involve cute cats & their everyday lives.

short episodes, comedy the protagonist is not very intelligent and both are very imaginative chi doesn´t have ending, hetalia doesn´t have opening

Feel good, slice-of-life pieces both with similar animation and pastel colors. Chi and Rin both develop (and gain new experiences) in each episode albeit Usagi Drop leans more towards drama while Chi's New Address stays kid friendly and cute.

Does the cute and suiting setting from the daily life of a cat and its family gets you totally relaxed?! Then these anime series are for you!

Another cute anime about cats, aimed at a younger demographic, that is feel good and super fun and easy on the brain and soul

Both are children's animes, are five minutes or less per episode, have life lessons and big adventures. Both have small and cute characters, don't have a human as the main character and don't have a big plot. Both are ligh hearted

Cute cats & their everyday lives.

Both set in simple surroundings and settings (although AY is more simple than Chi), both feature animals in fun, comedic, heartwarming, and dramatic (less in Chi) scenes in they're series. Although Animal Yokocho features three animals from "another realm", Chiizuu just features a normal cat . Chiizuu follows more a realistic plot based on things that really might happen or does happen with cats, while Animal Yokocho is full with weird stuff (hence: "another realm" earlier). Both very enjoyable for young kids, and adults.
