Angel Densetsu

Both shows have a main character who is a good guy but most people think they are of the worst kind and are just funny as hell. so when you liked one youll love the other one too 

The MCs are heavily misunderstood to be bad boys which make people respect/fear them, but are actually very nice people. 

Both MCs are mistaken in a funny way making both anime hilarious. 

Similar in a way that the main chara's appearance causes them to be misunderstood. 

Both are comedy romance manga with characters in highschool, and in both manga a member of the main pair is being socially ostracized for looking scary, and the other one helps them with that problem. 

Both are about guys who have scary faces, but are nice people. 

Both anime have scary-looking guys that are always misunderstood by many but they are truly kind hearted. Angel Densetsu's Seiichirou Kitano is scarier. 

Very similar. Though Cromartie is similar, the main character acts more believably. On the other hand, the protagonist is more ridiculous here, so take your pick for your funnies. If you liked one, you'd probably enjoy the other, at least a bit. 

- School Delinquents - Protagonist originally has other intentions but is misunderstood. - Random Humor Both anime's are just amazing, great random humor and just the right setting with the School Delinquents! The art style is also quite similar and just fits the atmosphere pretty well! 

Watamote and Angel Densetsu are both funny shows with dark humor based around misunderstandings. 

School tugs with both MC's having quite unique faces and personalities tough-looking, ! Found both settings of these OVA anime quite interesting and similar. Both anime's are just amazing, great random humor and just the right setting with the School Delinquents! The art style is also quite similar and just fits the atmosphere pretty well! 

People get scared just by looking at the MC's face! (but they're not bad guys) 

Both are gag anime with delinquents and have a similar way of humor and randomness. 

Both Angel Densetsu and Handa-kun revolve around a misunderstood main character in a school. Handa-kun is a straightforward but paranoid character, whose unsocial attitude leads to misunderstandings that blow out of proportion. This in turn leads to a bunch of various characters forming a clique around him performing various antics. Angel Densetsu is set in the pre-internet/mobile era. The MC of Angel Densetsu, Kitano Seiichiro is an angel at heart with the face of a demon. So scary is his appearance that not a single person has recognized his saintliness at first glance. This in turn attracts only delinquents at first, but normal people follow later as well. Contrary to the likeability of Handa-kun, Kitano is notorious, feared even, by the rest of the school. The sad part about Angel Densetsu is the OVA lasted only a few episodes. The manga is fully translated though. If you enjoyed the misunderstandings around Handa-kun, then read the Angel Densetsu manga for a full dose of laughter which is sure to leave you satisfied. read more
