Although Meiji Tokyo Renka is a romance anime and Sakura Quest is a slice-of-life anime, they have similar concepts; -A cast of interesting characters solving problems within their hometowns -The ending of both can be considered 'unsatisfying'

It has the same warm and fuzzy kind of romance that I felt when watching Ouran high, and has good character development for the boys. I loved it, and it seems similar to Ouran high but it is also quite unique.

the protagonist dissatisfied with her current life is sent to another world/time - At first she is underrated, but she is very hardworking and helpful - She has special powers and helps people - She only likes one person romantically - Surrounded by handsome and kind men - period anime - Both have magic, but one focuses on the supernatural - The Seijo protagonist is not so selfish

Both anime involve some form of amnesia. In both there is a conection to a different world/dimension and both are reverse harem anime

-Harem anime featuring cats. In Nyan Koi the protagonist is cursed by a cat, and in Meiji Tokyo Renka the protagonist is searching for a ghost cat. A cast of eccentric, lovable characters in both.

When both the protagonists were young, things were okay until people found them weird, seeing, hearing, and talking to youkai or ghosts, beings invisible to the normal human eye. So natsume takashi (natsume yuujinchou) and ayazuki mei (meiji tokyo renka) became outcasts and frequently isolated themselves socially. As they grow up and realize that others don't see and experience what they do, they cover it up with smiles and kindness. As the story goes on, both of them find themselves more involved in otherworldly situations. Natsume Yuujinchou is a very good touching and slow paced anime with several (currrently 6) seasons where visible growth of  read more

similarities: -Shoujo harem. -(Isekai) Dim school girl travels from modern world into magic past, she's more important to that world than this one. -fantasy. -Style of the characters is kind of similar. -Both have sequels and side stories if you're hungry for more once you're done watching the main series. differences -Harukanaru gets more serious/dramatic than Meiji Tokyo Renka, MTR is more light-hearted. -MTR has more of a focus in the romantic aspect of the story, while Harukanaru is more focused on the character development of the MC. -The male characters feel more fleshed out in Harukanaru, **but** they're not any more or any less loveable because of that, you just get to know  read more

Reverse harem in which the heroine travels in time (on to a pararel universe) and meets a bunch of bishounen.

Both shows have an otome feel and romance elements. Meiji Tokyo Renka is a historical isekai, while Kyoto Teramachi Sanjou no Holmes centers around appraising antiques. Both have a similar atmosphere and overall vibe. If you are a fan of either show, you will more than likely like the other.

Those 2 have in common: - reverse harem, romance, historical, shoujo -beautiful artstyle -MC is interested only in one guy -has a lot of beautiful romantic moments The only reverse harem anime adaptations that are not completely poor made, with great ending, character development and without annoying/plain/stupid heroine.
