Series with fast paced action extremely fun to watch. There is a plot in both series but is kind of shallow, the stakes aren't that hight but we are all here for the hype of the next fight.

These are both the latest anime adaptations of iconic shonen series. They have both dealt with harsh criticism from fans yet done well enough that it's obvious that majority of fans have at least found some enjoyment in the series'. They both started slow but got more interesting and improved further into the series.

Both are newer titles that have great potential for longevity and made a big impact on the anime community. They both have great humour combined with high intensity action scenes and lovable characters. The character designs and OST's for both shows are incredible. They both have overpowered characters and great villains.

So, you might be sitting there thinking, how in the world is Dragon Ball Super similar to Attack on Titan in any way? Well I'll tell you. Attack on Titan and Dragon Ball Super are both "Shounen" anime as well as very much action packed. I have been an avid Dragon Ball fan for almost my whole life and recently, I have been branching out into other animes such as Attack on Titan and I could not help but notice how amazing the show was and how it was similar to Dragon Ball as well. Now, if you are one of those people that hate on  read more

the communities of both of these series are pretty close so it stands to reason that they both achieve similar things, they are both training filled gym motivating series with great fights and characters

Naruto and Dragon Ball Super are both related to martial arts: Dragon Ball Super is related to pure martial arts along with some super powers whereas Naruto is related to Ninjutsu along with some super powers. Both Naruto and Dragon Ball Super have characters who don't have much intelligence but are skillful and also characters who are arrogant and proud. Both have characters who work hard to achieve an really difficult goal.

Strong characters with a super powered side. Although the scale of the super powers is much larger in the Dragon Ball series, the action scenes in Feng Yun Jue are similarly impressive.

Flint and Goku are very alike, although a lot more similar to OG Dragon Ball, a fan of Flint the Time Detective (Jikuu Tantei Genshi-kun) will likely also enjoy DB in all it's many iterations. They both have a strange over powered main character with a similar look, demeanour & design. They both also have great world building with lots of varied and quirky designs.

Both center around a team of powerful fighters who have outer space origins, who's duty it is to defend Earth from enemies from outer space, and who also have to keep their identities a secret. Colorful characters, unlikely heroes, comedy, mystery of main character's origin (in Dragon Ball Super's case, the mystery was solved in prequels), talking animals, time travel, new enemies every arc, friendship & family, character transformations - Dragon Ball Z and Sailor Moon have more things in common that one might expect. Goku and Usagi are both simple minded, childlike protagonists with hearts of gold that attracts others to them. Crystal and Super  read more

These are both the latest series of immensely popular anime featuring super powered characters. Both have AMAZING character designs and interesting characters. Both suffered heavy criticism for poor animation quality that seemed to improve at least little by little as the series went on. Both received a lot of hate but were very appreciated by some dedicated fans of the series, happy to see their favourite shows return.

Both the most recent series of extremely popular super powered action battle shonen JUMP series. Both have similar style action, power progression and humour. Both mainstream and belong to two of the most successful anime series. Both have great characters, OSTs, character designs & world building.

both DBZ and Saint seiya are the best and most popular shounen anime of the 90's If you haven't seen it yet, you can't miss this jewel Both Train the Chi/ki/cosmos (spiritual energy) and the battles are epic. They both end having to fight against Gods and reach limits never seen before!

At first you might struggle to find too much comparison beyond the fact that they are both fighting shounens. However, that's not the case. Hunter x Hunter is a very intelligent anime in its fighting scenes, and so is Dragon Ball Super - which may come as a little bit of a surprise to you. The physics in the Dragon Ball series is very complex and understanding why things make sense in the Dragon Ball universe is one of the greatest joys of being a Dragon Ball fan. Hunter x Hunter spells things out for you, and Super leaves a lot to the  read more

Both are popular, long lasting shounen franchises that are still airing new material in 2017. Both anime balance boast a fine blend of comedy and action, with the main characters sharing a few similar traits. For instance it could be said that both Luffy and Goku love food more than anything else- except for the lives of their friends/nakama. Toei Animation handles both series.
