By far the better one if you like: Tournaments/ duels with magic swords A strong protagonist who leads a "strong team" Fighting bugs/ monsters in a post-apocalyptic world (One is a flying city, while in chrome shelled regios we have a moving capsulated city

Are you looking for another anime with action/comedy/school series? Both series is similar, because of the sci-fi/fantasy theme and the sword-combat action scenes. The male MC in both series has very similar personality, because they are both strong but hides their strength. They are atypical MC because they are not so dense as the ones you see in typical school/harem series. Both series takes place on a school where students is training to do sword combat and to fight for something. So if you are looking for another funny, OP/strong MC with action/school/sci-fi/swordfight anime, then here it is.

-Underastimated male lead -Both male MCs are hiding their true strength -Both MCs are going to a magical academy -In both stories the magicians are fighting magical beasts.

Both center around one guy with many girl students and an elite academy dedicated to fighting. While IS is set in a mecha sci-fi setting, Sky Wizard Academy focuses on magic. They have a lot of comedy based off silly or cute slice of life scenes that let the individual girls shine.

Flying humans and powers fueled by magic and magic alike is a common feature that this Kuusen Madoushi and Juou Mujin offer. Incidentally, the antagonists (beasts) are also very similar.

Both humanity went to live in flying cities because of some problem, people with special abilities will solve these problems

Both are set in Magic High Schools. MCs are both overpowered sword wielders. MCs are both surrounded by a harem. Both MCs have hidden back stories that are slowly revealed. Main heroine starts off more tsun than dere

Both pass after the end of the world, and the main characters are very strong and have to kill the most diverse monsters

They All Talk About Some Weird Creatures Invading Earth And Trying To Destroy It For Example Madoushi Kouhosei Talks About Some Bugs And Devil Survivor Talks About Demons

Both have a "horrible" group. In Kuusen Madoushi Kouhosei no Kyoukan they're the weakest, and in Active Raid, they're the most destructive and unliked group by both the public and the government officials and upper brass. Both horrible groups have someone sent to teach/correct them.

Kuusen and Naruto both have a strong airheaded character who has to lead an inadequate team of three. Both teams have a skilled, an idiotic and an avarage character. Even their haircolour is almost the same pattern. The only difference is that in Naruto all three are flatchested.

The main character goes to a magic school. He is overpowered and awesome! Both are considered perverts They are not phased by their perverted actions. Similar character design and school uniform. Both using a big sword.

The main characters from both series are refereed to as Black Swordsman. But Kuusen adds Black Swords master instead. Both are voiced by Matusoka-san. Both taking place in a fantasy setting. But in SAO's case its an VRMMORPG video game. While in Kuusen Madoushi takes place in a magic school setting. They are called a traitor by other people due to their actions. They are surrounded by woman who are interested in them

Simply put, both of these anime have an extremely strong main character, Kanata/Kazuma who work together with stubborn red-haired tsudere to help them get stronger, Misora/Ayano. Though in Kuusen, Misora isn't the only female lead. Altogether, Kuusen Madoushi is like a newer version of Kaze no Stigma.

Taking place in an academy that teaches them how to fight. The main females from both series have very similar designs. The main guy character is overpowered and popular. Both using sword and magic skills.

The main character bumps into a red hair girl. She has the same voice actor. Both main character has a dark past He goes to a school that teaches him and others to fight. He must form a team with these girls.

Male protagonist surrounded by females. Similar to any harem type anime with a bit of action and a 'saving the world' premise. They both contain use of some form of magic.

Giant 3D-rendered bugs trying to destroy the Earth, a somewhat powerful protagonist surrounded by women, a sort of post-apocalyptic feel...if you enjoy one, doubtless you'll enjoy the other as the premise is so similar in both!

-Magic/Anti-magic school with students splitted into teams which are sorted by rankings -A former "elite" gets assigned to a lowest team in school's rankings as a form of punishment
