Often considered the spiritual predeccesor to Tekkaman Blade, Masami Obari's Detonator Orgun has many of the same aesthetics and design features as Tekkaman Blade.

Heroes who are given powers against their will go to war with the faction that provided them power. Both of these shows have so much in common it's not funny.

Both of them have mechas and aliens occupying the Earth looking for energy with the purpose of evolving and making Earth their home planet. In my opinion Tekkaman Blade has a much better story and characters but that doesn't make Mospeada look bad or something. They are both cult classic animes worth watching.

In both series, giant monsters are constantly attacking and only the main characters stand any chance against them. The MC uses a sword and powers up to fight said monsters. Much like Evangelion, the strength of these two series lies in their drama.

Both of these shows have lots of action, intense battles, strong drama, greatly developed characters, lots of surprises, and actual endings that you will applaud.

The main characters of both series fight evil monsters with both a powerup item and a long blade, and must protect the humans they encounter. Also, the fodder enemies of both series are filled with grape Kool-Aid (and the Radam monsters from Tekkaman Blade explode.)

With the help of a flying, alien-destroying savior, humanity must fight off evil space aliens. It does, as Blade escalates rapidly while making it very clear that it was fully planned from the beginning.

If you like mecha, and you're a fan of fast paced action, you just might like both of these. With an emotional story and a student-teacher relationship, these are similar enough.

While Blade has deep psychological themes like Evangelion does, Blade also has a level of action and stakes up there with Gurren Lagann. Also like GL, Blade escalates rather quickly and has incredible character development, which the epic battles are very important to. And by the end of the series, the title character ends up as one of the most powerful beings of all.

At the first sight these two don´t seems alike, but both have a cyberpunk world, with bio pollution. Have a lots of actions scenes and a great pyschological and plot development.

These series aren't exactly the same. But they do tell the tales of two anti heroes whose families were torn from them. Who gained a power that originated with their enemies but they ultimately use to wagear war against them. Who will be undone by those same powers in due time. Both are dark tragic and thought provoking as well.

Both anime are about wars between earth and space. They deal with loss separation and the horrors of the battle field.

Both anime feature superpowered brothers who can't get along but come from the same stock(Inuyasha both are demons in Tekkaman both are Tekkamen.) cool fights and lots of big powerful explosions topped with classic attack callouts.

Both series have a very similar plot. Humans have reached space and get attacked by an alien army, which has them vastly overpowered. They then get saved by a single mysterious warrior.

While Blade technically doesn't have mecha, it plays out like a typical Gundam series in that it focuses on a heavy plot, fleshing out characters, and explosive action sequences.

Guy with mech teams up with foreigners and forms a bond. Classic animation styled animes. Each is similar mecha. Adventure/episodic feel. Nature

Both are remakes of the '70s robot genre series. Both are "white knights" but not similar in storyline or character relations. Both are enjoyable old-school anime—the way it's not done anymore, sadly.

In both series, the Earth has been laid to waste by horrific bug-like monster aliens that tend to kill lots of people and be very hard to kill. Only a few people (usually our mains) have any chance at all of beating them. One of the goals of both series is to take back the Earth from the invasion.

classical "henshin" heroes, both are very stylish, somehow deep story, dont really know how to describe it, but i do know i got the "tekkaman" feeling while watching karas

Lots of similarities between these two. Main characters Takaya "D-Boy" (Blade) and Casshern aren't exactly normal humans and both are very indifferent to their surroundings, but develop and change a lot. They're very powerful delivering fast paced and over the top action. Both shows heavily emphasize strong rivalries with villians that are very similar to the main characters, with Blade vs Evil, and Casshern vs Dio. Both shows feature gritty, grimdark, and post-apocalyptic settings with similar pacing. To top it all off, they share the same composer Kaoru Wada, his music in both is very similar and incredible. Fun note: Seiyuu Toshiyuki Morikawa (whom supposedly broke  read more

Ah, the one fight that many mecha fans would like to see - Guyver vs Blade. It would be epic beyond proportion. That said chances are if you enjoy one of these you'll like the other, especially for the over the top action. Both Guyver and Blade are extremely powerful characters that fight to protect the Earth and their friends from various monsters and aliens. Tekkaman Blade does a better job at storytelling and handling emotion, while Guyver has a lot of interesting plot twists and ideals.

Tekkaman Blade use same plot as Zillion, aliens invade the human's home planet to breed. Most of the characters are identical but are little more childish in Zillion. I think Tekkaman Blade is better because it's newer and have little more mature content than Zillion.

Both have men that lost their loved ones and their past and only left the path of no return, tragedy is served, enjoy.

The main characters of both series fight against evil monsters that are constantly attacking and only the main characters have any chance against them. Both main characters fight monsters by transforming into a super powerful armored being and must protect the humans that they encounter. Differences between the two are that Tekkaman Blade is sci-fi while Guardian of Darkness is a dark supernatural anime. If you like, you should like the other.

Despite both being mecha anime, They as well portrait as sort of a remake hommage of the original serie's. in gundam's case mobile suit was sort of a hommage to the 25th anniv. charachter called Casval rem daikun ( a.k.a the red comet) u can see the simmilarity with the Zechs marquise persona , the helmet , the clothing , the posture.

Both of them are "Henshin Hero" style anime (although Hikaruon is more based on the live action Space Sheriff trilogy and Metal Heroes franchise), i.e. each one has a lead character that transforms (Henshins) with a pose or device and a henshin call. Both also involve the lead character fighting off some sort of monster with their mecha style hero form.

Similar scenes and players .

Alien killing power armor awesomeness. Both shows feel very '80s (Jushin Liger technically is, but very late '80s). Tekkaman Blade is far heavier on drama, whereas Jushin Liger is pretty much all about the action and is more episodic.

Both anime are created around the same period (late 1980's-early 1990's) with similar animation and a similar vibe. The main protagonist in both anime uses a powerful mecha suit to stop a evil monster from destroying humanity. If you like one, you should enjoy the other.

Both have a lot of action, as well as deep psychological themes (the fights are important to the development of the main characters). The main characters of both shows are anything but Hollywood heroes. Although they wouldn't save the world with a smile on their faces, they can really scrap evil monsters. However, Tekkaman Blade avoids using monsters of the week altogether.
