Both centers a young boy who wants to pursue a career in Culinary arts. Although the difference between these two series is one focuses on Chinese cuisine while Shokugeki no Soma centers not only on Japanese cuisine but international cuisine as well. Also, Chuuka Ichiban centers in historical and fights off evil who uses food to conquer the world. I both like the two series as they both shine and has unique concept and to top it off only few cooking genre is animated so if you liked Shokugeki no Soma, you should try Chuuka Ichiban as well.

Both involve child prodigies in the kitchen with exaggerated techniques and high-stake culinary showdowns.

Both have energetic young guys as their protagonists, and both are of a specific theme: while Grander Musashi is about fishing, Cooking Master Boy is obviously about cooking. Both also have evil antagonists who want to take over the world by fishing/cooking :)

the given anime above talks about the quality of ingredients and food to be prepared in the table, and provide some helpful information about the product. chuuka ichiban is more on different kind of dishes, while silver spoon is focusing on the process on farming until it cook.

Ippon may be a lot older but these anime are extremely similar. Both anime feature a dedicated chef MC and similar cooking "face-off" battles. ungratefully, Ippon doesn't seem to be completed, yet i still find it extremly well-writing; the storyline of Chuuka Ichiban is greater with in-depth character and world-building, however, Ippon did this style of anime first. If you truly like Chuuka, you will adore Ippon and vice-versa.

Both series have a dark society trying to gain control of the Cooking World in order to achieve world domination. Cooking Master Boy uses cooking battles while Toriko uses physical fighting. And if blue hair is your thing, they both have it.
