Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei Special

Aah, Zetsubou Sensei...
I'm going to be blunt here, so bear with me: This single BD special was the funniest Zetsubou Sensei since season 3. I LOVED the last OVA, but this special STOMPS the last OVA, to be honest.

Story: 10/10
We have another detective story in this episode. Remember some time ago when Itoshiki was a detective in one episode? He's back again, and this time, our friend Maedax (R or G?) has been murdered!! However, it seems that nobody's the culprit... What will Detective Itoshiki do!?
Seriously, though... It's freaking ridiculous... In a funny way, of course. Especially since Maeda returns for an episode based entirely around him!!!
Anywho, nothing new, really. Just the Zetsubou Sensei gang being the same ol' Zetsubou Sensei gang.
During the second half of the special, there's another episode where they're doing a musical... and God, I'm not even kidding, it was so fabulous MAX~
And... and... GAH! I can't even express how funny this episode was...
Make sure to watch after the credits, too ;)

Art: 10/10
As usual, the art is beautiful. It also seems that the animation is a lot more smooth than the third season was, with a lot more motion in movements and everything. Beautiful~
Some people hate SHAFT's quirky animation styles/directing, but I personally love it and always have...

Sounds: 10/10
Same soundtrack from season three, which I personally loved and still love. I adore the Zetsubou Sensei soundtracks, though~

Character: 10/10
Sweet Lord, they were absolutely ridiculous and over-the-top as usual!!! Classic Zetsubou Sensei!!! MORE!!! I NEED MORE!!!

Kidding me? Of course I enjoyed it. Never a dull moment in this series, and I MAY or may not be saying that just because I'm a fanboy.
That said, if you enjoyed previous installments of the series, you're going to love this one!!!

Yea, I know... 10/10?
However, it's one episode, so it's not like I can really dig in and get dirty with this... There were a few things I didn't like about the series as it progressed, but I still always continued loving it completely, and this one episode special delivers... completely...

Sherlock Holmes x Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei. Is simply brilliant.

This whole OVA left me in despair. Why? because the animation was so good, the story was funny, and the whole cast was here again. It made me remember why I love this show. So when it ended, I was in despair, THE ANIME ENDING HAS LEFT ME IN DESPAIR!


Also, it's a Sherlock Holmes type Detective theme, so that just means more brilliance.
