That's so great! I'm still trying to get katakana down, hiragana was super easy to learn! Kanji does seem very daunting but, I'm sure you can do it! （＾ω＾）
I can understand anime much better too, if you'd like you can down,lad this app called "Memrise". It helps me with my Japanese, it's a class everyday and it's free! ＼(^o^)／
