While it's true this one falters on the art front, one also must not ignore the fact that it is a prototype for the original Attack on Titan series. Hence, while I was unsure about how much I should rate it since I liked as well as disliked it to some extent, I actually realized I found it interesting for a prototype. The action sequences sometimes got too hard to follow/understand, but overall it's the storytelling that worked, otherwise this volume 0 could've turned into a huge misfire. manga isn't that bad if you try to give it a chance with an open mind. Sure, it's not perfect and some panels are downright horrible to look at, that's also what makes it unique in hindsight. It's a decent one-time read if you're an AOT fan. Others who're new to the world of AOT and are thinking of reading it before the original manga... that's up to you, but I really won't recommend it unless you become familiar with the original manga. That's all there is to it.
