Maybe this is normal but Vol1 of the BluRay release only has the first episode. Volumes 2 and 3 appear to only contain ~2 episodes each as well. This seems strange to me especially due to the price. At least with the current currency conversion that works out to ~30-35 USD per episode. For an 11 epsode(more like 13 considering length of first ep) splitting up the release into this many releases and discs seems odd.

I'll admit that I normally pick up movies so I don't pay as much attention to how series normally release. Just wondering what other people think and if this is relatively normal.

Side note: I'm guessing people are already aware but the 2 disc full series release popping up on Ebay is almost definitely counterfeit. I was mildly curious due to the price just to see what the quality would be. The cardboard sleeve is done fairly well but the disc printing and the actual file structure on the disc is quite poor. The individual episodes are not split up into individual streams but just split apart by chapters. The menu is also suspect, there are misspellings for one.

This is how all DVD/Blu-ray releases work for anime.

It’s always like that for the Japanese release. The US release whenever that will be will have the whole series.

Understood, I didn't know this was normal. I guess for some of the foreign region releases I have picked up in the past have all been for older titles. Thanks for the info

Japanese Blu-ray releases usually have less episodes spread across multiple volumes. They sell comparatively low numbers but make up for it with their high prices. And they usually include different types of goodies like posters, short stories, soundtrack, etc which makes them appealing to hardcore fans.

Meanwhile western Blu-rays are very economic. They usually cost less and also pack way less content, usually only the anime with little to no extras. I think Aniplex Blu-rays are like Japanese Blu-rays. They're overpriced and often are sold in limited editions AFAIK.
