| Solo Leveling, and more generally the majority of Manhwas. Due to how they are designed, Manhwas are very easy to read. They are vertical, uses small colored panels interspaced by huge blocks of space (generally white), and tend to have minimal dialogues and not too long chapters. Manhwas are usually either written by beginner self-published Authors, or adapted from WebNovels in that situation, which often can be translated to bad or inconsistent writting. Solo Leveling in particular had an amazingly entertaining use of the verticality, and made it a real page-turner, which explains the hype it got. Aside of that, i'd say any random Isekai, really. The majority of them are made with the idea of letting you use it as escapism, and/or banking on that popular Genre to make money. There is almost never any true hurdle for the protagonist, which makes the story simple and comfortable to follow for the viewers/readers. |

| Youkoso Jitsuryoku Shijou Shugi no Kyoushitsu e (Classroom of the Elite) For whatever reason it's an anime I eagerly awaited each episode (when it was airing, ie. most recently season 3) yet can't bring myself to score higher than a 6. Actually the reason is I'm just there for the protag and a few of the other characters. Otherwise, the plot and pacing is rather tedious. As a general rule most ecchi series & harems as long as there are one or two cute characters that can carry the show/manga. |
