On the surface, this seems to be another isekai that follows the common trend of recent years, and in many cases it is. Its premise even reminds me of " I've Been Killing Slimes for 300 Years and Maxed Out My Level", but this anime predates that. However, there are lots that make this anime stand out on its own.
The story feels condensed, mostly due to the 12 episode constraint, which is a shame but it isn't all bad. From the very beginning, it establishes our setting, characters, and overarching premise quickly enough to proceed with its events. The adventures that we follow throughout are

fun and interesting and gives it a lively feeling. This anime pretty much has a slice-of-life aspect, following a certain cast and have the focus solely on them. Everything about the story is very "cute", with occasional "What the fuck" moments sprinkled in to remind us that this world isn't all sunshine and rainbows, no matter how much it wasn't to be. Overall, a good and cute story.
The characters are this anime's strong point, which makes sense as this anime's main focus is the main cast and the main cast only. These girls feel more alive, which is due to how close the characters' connections are with each other. It's the collection of different personalities with different personalities that make up our Crimson Vow, which allows for many interesting interactions to take place. All in all, these 4 girls are truly the fascinating points of this anime.
The animation is pretty good. The environments and animations are what you'd expect from anime like this. There were some scenes where the animation seemed off and jank, but the instances of this are slim to none.
Overall, this anime is pure lighthearted and isn't meant to be taken seriously whatsoever. This show is really just the manifestation of poking fun of the ideas of isekai used, while also having fun with it and doing its own thing. This is a good mindless watch and is nice to relax and unwind to.

This anime is one that I dropped halfway, which is a shame but it didn't manage to get me hooked like I hoped it would. I did manage to finally finish it, to a pleasant surprise.
The story is very weird and offputting. I'm not talking about the full dive aspect or the worthless MC or anything of the sort. What I mean is that the story initially set you up for certain expectations and then bends it in such odd ways. of the reasons why I dropped this anime initially). But in the end, this anime is a COMEDY first and foremost and is this anime's main goal, so the seriousness or accuracy of the story doesn't matter in this case. The comedy is well done, and sometimes I can't help but laugh at myself when I remember a scene from this anime in public. This anime is also completely self-aware and plays its tropes to the bone. The story is fine and the comedy helps but putting them together this way leaves them feeling a bit out of place with one another.
The characters are sadly not as good as you'd hope. Everyone, other than Hiro, isn't as fleshed out as you'd like them to. They just have a brief introduction and then go their ways until called in. Reona is second best in quality next to Hiro, but they are both the MCs, so this is to be expected. Unfortunately, but everything and everyone feels dull and one-dimensional.
The animation is good quality and is something you'd come to expect from second-in-line anime like this. The animation quality fluctuates from time to time, which gets annoying a bit but is fine overall. The character designs aren't really unique, and lots of them look like something a character design generator cooked up, but I do enjoy Reona's.
Overall, a fine anime but didn't have enough to get me hooked and invested. Full Dive is most definitely not for everyone, but it is still a nice watch nonetheless. If you're going to check this anime out, don't expect anything serious and lower your expectations.

A second season of the same quality as the first season is rare, but it is the case with this anime. Everything was well done, and the continuation was amazing.
The story continues where we left off and gives us what we want, with no tricks or twists whatsoever. Coming from the first season, I had lots of questions as to what will happen in the future. Happy to say that this season answered these questions clearly and then some. This is a very good continuation, and the transition is seamless. No complaints here, and if there are I can't think of any right now.
The characters

are also of the same quality. They all remain vibrant and alive, which makes them very appealing. The contrast between Primitive V.S. Modern is still there and is still utilized well here. Such a simple premise can allow for so many unique and entertaining possibilities. Also, the fact that the princess's name is literally Piña Co Lada is still hilarious (also Rory's name might be a play on the word "Loli" in an Eastern accent, but I may be looking too much into it). Tuka and Yao are still best girls btw.
The animation is of the same quality as before once again. The stylization is still well done, as well as everything else. No complaints here.
Overall, a good second season all around. Nothing changed about this anime (quality-wise), which is a good thing cause if it did, it would go downhill 100%. If you're coming from the first season, I promise you that you will not be disappointed.

There are very few isekai animes that I genuinely enjoyed. This one happened to be one of them! A good twist to your typical isekai.
The story is very interesting and is spun in such a way that you can fully understand its premise and purpose. Moving away from the typical isekai trope and molding something more out of it opens lots of doors that could be utilized in the future. A portal that leads from one world to another, where everything is completely different when compared to each other is rarely used. The last anime that I remember (from the top of my head) to

utilize this concept is "Outbreak Company", but this anime used it way better in my opinion. Even though you can clearly see where the story is headed (which is a bit of a headache), it is still fun to follow our characters and explore this world and its conflict with them. This anime is very comedic and uses this to its advantage extremely well. It doesn't use it randomly, and only uses it when appropriate.
The characters are surprisingly vibrant, which is rare with military anime. There is a stiff contrast between the characters of each world, which allows them to interact in so many ways that could propel the story forward. Primitive V.S. Modern is good chemistry, to begin with, so when applying this concept to characters makes it more entertaining, as you end up wondering how each side would react to one another. I'm a basic bitch, so Elf girls and Dark Elf girls are kinda my thing (shoutout goth loli tho).
The animation is surprisingly good coming from an anime of 2015. The stylization is so well done, and it adds lots of passive emotions to the characters. The fight scenes were fun to watch, but considering its swords and shields versus ARs and Tanks, you can only do so much with this (animation-wise). Either way, the animation is pretty good.
Overall, a really good isekai anime with a nice twist that gives us a break from our typical isekai. Despite not being a fan of military anime, I thoroughly enjoyed this anime. Everything was well balanced. I definitely would recommend this to anyone interested.

When it comes to second seasons of anime, it's either hit or miss (mostly misses). However, I personally feel that this is a great second season.
The story picks up from where we left off and hints at things to come while also reestablishing the overarching plot and what has happened so far. The story is good, as it really does go off of what we know so far very well. However, coming from the first season, the story this time around is a bit more chaotic and all over the place. second season do. After watching this season, I still don't get why they did what they did in the first season. Some parts are done in order to introduce a new mechanic to the story while others are done merely to add controversy. After all this, the overall season was very boring somehow, despite so much going on all the time. Things get so overplayed this time around that you end up sort of despising certain elements that you wouldn't despise with the first season. In the end, coming from an amazing first season, the story this time around was a letdown.
The characters are all the same as before, but with a "twist". This "twist" being character aspects and behaviors being suddenly introduced with some of them. Especially Inaho. In the first season, he was all smarts which was an advantage for him. This time around, however, they seemed to want to do more with this and were willing to soil his character with OP smarts. The rest of the characters are all relying on him too much this time around as well, whether they are aware of it or not. Slaine's character, however, was better utilized this time around. Some characters were handled poorly while others were handled with care, which throws things off. Unfortunate, but this is the case.
The animation quality is still the same as the first season. Everything is well done, and the CGI is well utilized once again. Nothing much to say here other than amazing work.
Overall, a good second season but a bit of a letdown at the same time. I enjoyed every second of this anime, but I wish it was done better. If you're coming from the first season, have low expectations or you'll be disappointed as I have been.

My first ever ten goes to this beautiful mecha masterpiece. Such a severely underrated anime like this is a diamond in the rough. This anime has increased my love for mechs tenfold.
The story itself is amazing. From the very beginning, with its establishing shots and a quick rundown on the events of this world, you can already tell that this anime has so much that it wants to show us. A mecha anime where war between Earth and Mars breaks out is such a simple premise but is used amazingly here. Sometimes I felt confused about certain things, but I did end up understanding it

all in the end. The overarching story is so well done and seeing it unravel as we go is such a good feeling. You don't even need to be a fan of mecha anime to enjoy this to its fullest. You can tell that the creators put so much love, time, and effort into creating this world, and I couldn't be happier. A severely underrated anime with such a beautiful and intricate backstory. I was hurt to see how this ended, but I still love this anime.
The characters are basic and common, but the way these characteristics are used makes them so intricate and alive. Each of them feels as though they are truly alive and you end up creating a connection with them without realizing it. The chemistry and tension between them all are so well done, I can't help but praise it all. However, this doesn't mean there are no negatives to be found. Sometimes, the characters feel too basic (some not all), which kinda puts me off but this is rarely the case. An amazing cast of characters that are used extremely well here.
The animation is such quality, that I'm surprised that this is an anime that originally aired in 2014. From the mechs to the characters. to even the environments, it is all well done. The world feels so deep and limited at the same time, and the animation really helps sell that point. The mech designs are amazing and feel as though you could actually pilot one yourself.
Overall, this has become one of my favorite mecha anime and is fighting "Knights & Magic" for the spot of #1 personal favorite. I plan on getting a model kit from this anime eventually cause I just can't not, y'know? 100% recommend you give this a watch, whether or not you are into mecha anime. You won't regret it.

Another banger mech anime from our boys at Studio Trigger. I'm glad to see another SSSS. anime has come out in recent years. I absolutely love mechs, so I might be a bit bias here.
The story isn't anything to cry home about, but that doesn't mean it's not good. This time around, instead of it feeling like a summon like in SSSS.GRIDMAN feels more like Power Rangers, but pure mech. I came from SSSS.GRIDMAN expecting a lot since Trigger made both of them, and I was pretty satisfied with what I got. The world is once again mainly focused on specific areas, similar to GRIDMAN.

However, the pacing is very straightforward, and is what you'd expect from a mecha anime and then some. However, aspects from SSSS.GRIDMAN started becoming introduced in the middle of the anime, which kind of threw me off. I didn't think this anime would take place in the same world/universe as GRIDMAN, as the way it was set up made it seem like this would be a completely different world while sharing the "SSSS." name. This isn't a bad thing, but it was unexpected. In the end, it's a good story, and its developments and ending were very good.
The characters are all once again bright and vivid. They are all different people from different backgrounds and lives but are all forced to work together. Their designs are all very nice and well done, and they all contribute to making this world feel more alive. This even goes for the supporting and one-off characters. The mech this time around looks a bit too clunky and thick in my opinion. Dynazenon also looks like a transformer in his standard combined form, which is a shame. I preferred how they looked in SSSS.GRIDMAN, both Gridman, and Gridknight. This is just a personal preference though.
The animation is still very superb. The character animations are all very fluid, and the CGI used for the mechs and kaiju are also once again very well done. No complaints here, but at times things could look better.
Overall, another banger mecha anime from Studio Trigger. Coming from SSSS.GRIDMAN, I have to say I am very much pleased. Don't think I'll be getting a model kit for Dynazenon as I don't really like his design much, unfortunately. I highly recommend this to anyone interested. You don't need to watch SSSS.GRIDMAN before watching SSSS.DYNAZENON, but it is recommended.

This anime is very all over the place for me. On one hand, I love it to death but on the other hand, it's a huge disappointment.
The story has no source material and thus doesn't follow the rails that most anime does. Because of this, the story is very airy and full of life, which is a good thing. There are so many deep corners of the story that are intriguing and make you want to explore this world and its surroundings. what kills this anime for me (story-wise at least). The way this story is delivered is very confusing and leaves lots of it as an interpretation for the viewer. There isn't an issue when it comes to leaving some things in the air for the consumer to figure out, but it becomes an issue when every episode ultimately gives the viewer homework and never answers questions. From what I gathered, the story is very interesting and trippy and left me wondering what the hell happened throughout this anime. Overall, a good story, but with a confusing execution.
The characters are all pretty unique and really stand out on their own. They aren't your stereotypical bunch and don't feel flat and dull at all. Our main cast is a bunch of characters that you wouldn't expect to mix together well. A good bunch of characters with cute designs.
The animation is the main selling point of this anime and is really all people talk about. Each and every scene is gorgeous and beautiful, and it feels like you can touch it all and get the exact sensation you'd expect. The style of everything felt so airy and open, which fits well in an anime like this. Don't really have much to say about this. Shoutout Cloverworks for this beautiful anime.
Overall, a very good anime but has lots of major flaws that stick out boldly. Even though this was a big disappointment for me, I still liked it. If there were to be an S2, I'd hope it's 24 episodes and is more clear on what it's trying to portray. I recommend you give this a watch if you are interested, but be warned: things will get confusing quickly.

I'm a fan of mechs and mecha animes, to the point where I spend tons of money on pieces of plastic I put together for hours and put on display for no one else but me. I put this anime to the side as I didn't feel confident in it before watching it. Happy to say, I was proven wrong.
The story is very strong and interesting. At a quick glance, you'd think this anime is made for kids. This isn't the case whatsoever. When compared to what it has on display on the surface, the story is very dark, twisted, and deep. From the atmosphere

to the unraveling world around the characters, the story does everything it wants to do and more. The pacing is so well done, especially in the first few episodes where it felt so claustrophobic and stretched which gives off a sense of discomfort. The later episodes all have a different pacing style, but it is still well done. The story CAN feel standard at times, especially since SSSS.GRIDMAN is kind of a spiritual successor to the original Gridman. It delivers the story with confidence and is aware of what it's trying to be. The ending was a bit odd, and to be honest I didn't like it as much. It was implied throughout the anime, but still.
The characters are all bright and vivid, and all have their own unique styles that contrast with one another. These characters are all so expressive it's amazing. They all feel as though you could meet them and they would be exactly what you'd think they'd be. From their designs to their poses, they all contribute a lot to this world. The Kaiju and Mechs designs all feel so nostalgic and fresh at the same time. If there is a model kit for this show, I'm definitely snagging them.
The animation is superb, which is to be expected from Studio Trigger. The character animations are all fluid, and the use of CGI is extremely well done. The camera work is very dynamic and makes almost every scene seem so significant and bold. The fighting scenes are all CGI, which is good as 2D animation wouldn't be able to achieve what they were trying to go for here.
Overall, this is a close second to my favorite mecha anime (the first being Knights and Magic). I absolutely loved every second of it. This anime is very underrated, but this is because it is a mecha anime that not everyone is into and turns it away just because of the genre itself. However, I really recommend this anime to anyone interested, whether you're into mechs or not.

I'll be honest, I really didn't like this anime at first, but I've come around to liking it more than I thought I would.
The story is really vast and amazing, to the point where I felt like I was stupid for putting this anime to the side for so long. The story is well-paced, and really divided its main focus throughout, allowing for the world it creates to feel more open and alive. becomes so overcomplicated at times that I stopped watching this for a day or two just to wrap my head around it. This anime does a half-ass job when it comes to explaining it all. The story overall is still very good, but it does take some time to fully grasp what is going on.
The characters are all surprisingly well done. They all can stand well on their own, and they all feel as though they each fulfill their purpose. However, they also have a bit too much background added to them (some more than others), and in some cases, it doesn't add up. Even though they have deep backgrounds, there is a considerable lack of depth to these characters. In the end, a good cast of characters, some stronger than others. Kon/Hishamaru is my personal favorite.
The animation is pretty good for an anime like this. The environments felt well done, and the characters are all expressive. The fighting scenes are also well done, and do a great job at portraying the intensities of the fights. There were times where the art was questionable, but those times are slim to none.
Overall, a very fun and entertaining anime, with lots of good things to back it up. At the beginning of watching this, I didn't find it interesting, but as I continued, it picked up the pace and ended with a bang. A season two would be nice, if possible. If you plan on watching this anime, don't put it on hold and watch it straight till the end. Highly recommend this anime to anyone and everyone.
