I can only recommend watching episodes 1,2,5,6 at most.
This is, first of all, not really a parody of the main series. It is more of a supplement to the anime, showing some of the battalion while out of combat. Some of the time is spent discussing events in the main series, while the rest is spent on off duty discussions or shenanigans, and these shorts loosely follow the same chronology.
That said, except for a few episodes, this is, in my opinion, not worth watching. After finishing the main show, I went into this wanting a little something extra, and though it is meant to be

Recommended only if you just want to see a little bit more of the characters from the main series.
It is a short, conventional story centered mainly around Roboko, who independently of Zvezda wants to audition for an idol group. Compared to the other episodes, this felt very lackluster and poorly paced. I don't dislike it because it's an idol story though, that could really well done - this just felt a little contrived, even compared to the rest of the show. What I do like is that it showed just a teensy bit of how things are with the cast after the end of the ...

Though the season has of now not yet ended, I couldn't help but write this review, so please bear with me.
First off, to those who haven't yet watched this series, do yourselves a favor and immediately check out the first season. It's not that you won't be able to enjoy it, but you'll pretty much be caught in a whirlwind of referential jokes otherwise. 'Story': As usual, it doesn't have a story per se, but an immense load of material. Like the previous seasons, be prepared(i.e. watch other series) to encounter a deluge of metaphors choc full of social references and criticism, and of course, despair. Art ... |
