Yeah, probably due to the government not being able to collect tax unlike cigarette. They sugar-coat it and make it seems like they care for our health and safety.

I always wanted to try a OnePlus phone, but they aren't available at the shop. I've been using LG G5, it is a pretty unique phone due to the transaformative and modular design.

Yep, I'm hoping there will be a good sale for it soon.

I see. I don't mind preordering games if I really do want them, although I'm pretty selective about it. Has it been a long time since you last preordered a game?

Hmm, I've never heard about it. It sounds interesting though, I really like it if the storyline and characters could keep me interested till the end. It's been a long time since I last read a proper book so I can keep an eye out for it.

I didn't as I have been playing Persona 5. I'm 72 hours in now, it is a really long game but has been really enjoyable. I got sort of mind-blown yesterday as the true culprit behind all the incidents was revealed, that twist was pretty unexpected and caught me off guard. You should definitely buy and play it once it goes on sale. Have you managed to finish Persona 4 Golden?
xHatsukoi May 21, 2017 5:12 AM
Yeah. Cigarette does affect the health of others though while e-cigarette doesn't, it just doesn't make sense for the government to ban the latter and they are just plain greedy.

Oh. What phone did you get?

That's good, I'm more interested in Bloodborne too. Dark Souls III is on sale at S$55.93 which is still ridiculously expensive, there aren't any sale of Bloodborne at the moment.

Hmm, you will need to complete it if you are planning to preorder and play it on the release date. Are there any upcoming games that you are planning to preorder?

That's true, but SAO is still one of the more enjoyable anime franchise despite the poor storyline and characters. Gamers will be able to relate to it after all.
xHatsukoi May 17, 2017 11:13 PM
Yeah, I agree. It is unlikely that any government will ban alcohol and tobacco since it generates a lot of tax income. Singapore government has banned E-cigarette 2 years ago, it is really stupid as it helps smoker to quit their addiction and they are also healthier than actual cigarette. I suppose the reason behind it is that they can't tax on E-cigarette, the government should just ban all tobacco products if they really care about our health.

Yeah, it sucks that a high end PC costs so much. Furthermore, you will have to upgrade it every 5 years or so.

That's true, it would have been a much more enjoyable challenge compared to enemies with higher stats. Did you enjoy Dark Souls or Bloodborne more? I'm thinking of giving the latter a try first.

Sounds good, I'm looking forward to playing them. Zero Time Dilemma will be release in August so you will be able to play it immediately as you are playing the prequels now.

I have not watched his video about SAO: Ordinal Scale since I didn't want any spoilers. Did he mentioned about anything that is spoiler-ish? If not I will go and have a watch.
xHatsukoi May 16, 2017 11:09 PM
Yeah, there is no second chance given to drug traffickers. I don't mind this at all since it actually protect us, there are a lot of other things that I hate about the government though.

I see. That is why I only play games on console since there won't be the issues of not meeting the required specifications. Huh? You meant you bought another PC a few days ago?

Yeah, but it will be a lot more work for the developers so they just end up increasing the health and damage of enemies for most games.

Yup, the art style is gorgeous. I've never managed to complete Valkyria Chronicles though, I might get it on PS4 someday if there is a good discount for it. Did you managed to complete the game?

That's good, I'm still waiting for it to go on sale. Did they made many changes and improvements to 999?

Yeah, I read the manga too. They adapted it faithfully and I'm glad. I want to watch Sword Art Online: Ordinal Scale too but it costs $60 (fan's screening with movie premiums) which is madness, I'm not going to pay that amount for a movie.
xHatsukoi May 10, 2017 12:18 AM
Yeah. It is fine as long as we don't break the law so there is nothing to be afraid of.

Hmm. Is it because of your PC specifications? I thought you had built a fairly powerful PC last year?

I agree. There are tons of games that just buffed the health and stats of the enemies on higher difficulty and it just ends up being a grindfest. I like it when there are benefits/rewards given to the players when we play on higher difficulty. Tales of Berseria lets players unlock potentites (new skills) when we play on moderate difficulty and above and this will encourage players to do so.

I see, I'm planning to get that someday but it is still fairly expensive at the moment. Do you buy the in game Loot Box?

Ah, okay. Yeah, a game will tend to be more enjoyable when we can relate to it. I should keep a lookout of the game when it goes on sale too.

I am, but I have way too many games incompleted and I've even preordered more for May and June. One of the games which I preordered is Valkyria Revolution and it will be out next month. I think you mentioned to me before that you are a fan of Valkyria Chronicles series, Valkyria Revolution is a spinoff of the series.

Yep. You were the one that introduced me to the one-shot in the past.
xHatsukoi Apr 24, 2017 6:46 AM
Ah, no problem.

Hmm, that's true. I read a bit about it before and I guess the game vilifies drugs a little too much. It's pretty much mandatory death penalty when you are caught possessing drugs in Singapore when they weigh more than a certain amount.

Yeah, I agree. I have tons of games incomplete and I still went ahead and preorder more, I have no idea when I will be able to finish my massive backlog.

It's great, there are a lot of new mechanics in Persona 5. For example, stealth for avoiding or ambushing enemies, there is also a new feature where the player is able to negotiate with shadows for recruitment or extortion. Yeah, hard mode is pretty ridiculous so I lowered it down to normal, I might increase the difficulty once I have better Personas and party members.

I see. What have you been doing lately?

Hmm, that sounds interesting and relatable as well. How did you know about such games? They aren't as famous compared to games such as much Persona or Horizon Zero Dawn.

I went to Malaysia today and watched Koe no Katachi. It's pretty much perfect and I enjoyed it a lot more than Kimi no na Wa, you should give it a watch someday.
xHatsukoi Apr 11, 2017 2:20 AM
Ah, okay. How was First Light and Second Son? I think I saw you platinum-ed First Light if I recall correctly.

So do I, I've bought way too many games and have difficulty finishing all of them.

Yeah, it's ranked #1 out of all PS4 games (which is surprising for a JRPG). I've played a bit so far and it's fun but the hard mode is ridiculous. I fought a boss yesterday and his tactic is to charge up then physically attack one party member, hence the only way to survive is to guard. I managed to lower his HP to 30%, then the boss then charged up and AOE attack my entire party...and everyone died even though all were guarding (I did won after multiple attempts out of sheer luck). I suppose that is why majority of the people play it on Normal and some even on Easy, I might reduce the difficultly back to normal as there is time limit in the game (to build social link as you know) so spending too many days in a dungeon is not wise.

I see, are you going to get the analog stick repaired?

Nope, I've never heard of it before. What is the objective of the game?
xHatsukoi Apr 3, 2017 7:03 AM
I've not played Infamous 2 yet, I've got Infamous First Light from PS Plus but have stalled on it. What you mentioned sounds interesting though, I'll probably finish up the prequel someday and move on to the sequel.

I see, I will keep that in mind. I really should get it once I'm done with my current games.

Yup, I use both US and Asia PS often. Asia PS sucks for the past few years, but they started being really generous since the start of this year. For example, they gave out Until Dawn, God of War Remastered and Tales of Zestiria for all PS Plus members in February (in additional to the normal instant game collection monthly and they are a lot better than other region as well).

I preordered the Collector's Edition of Persona 5 and it is finally here. (https://i.imgur.com/IuUqLH7.jpg)
xHatsukoi Mar 25, 2017 9:23 AM
I see, that's a good idea. It depends on the game, if it is something that I like (and not too time consuming) then I would be more invested to go for the alternative endings/choices. Otherwise, I will probably just look it up on Youtube it and see what happens.

Yup. Have you played or seen Yuna and Rikku design in the sequel? It's pretty absurd.

Yeah, that's true. Which game do you find more difficult? Dark Souls or Bloodborne?

Hmm, too bad I don't use UK PSN though. I use both US and Asia PSN. Do you solely use UK PSN?
xHatsukoi Mar 14, 2017 1:25 AM
That's good, I will listen to it sometime. I think it will be a little difficult to listen to audio books when playing Witcher 3 since it is an Action-RPG. Do you tend to multi-task when gaming? Since you could only make one choice in the game, will you replay it again to see where the other leads to?

Do you mean the sphere-grid system? I played FFX on both PS2/PSV with English dubs and they were okay (maybe except the laughing scene which is cringe-worthy). I agree that the costumes aren't exactly the best (except Yuna).

I hope I won't get too frustrated when I play it, I don't think I'm good at these games. Well, I tend to preorder often so I ended up having way too many games, I try to cut back on buying games even when they are on sale now. I think I will get The Old Hunters Edition as it contains the main game too.
xHatsukoi Mar 8, 2017 4:15 AM
I see. I suppose I can download them and gain some background knowledge before I play Witcher 3 someday, I will definitely enjoy much more this way.

I've played both of them. What issues in FFX are you talking about? I've completed both the original and remake and there isn't any major changes.

Hmm, that's true. You will need to memorize both hiragana and katakana first though, the former is mandatory before you start reading any Japanese stuff.

I haven't, I've always wanted to try it though. Have you played it before?
xHatsukoi Mar 7, 2017 10:02 PM
Okay, I will download it later and listen to it.

That's great, it makes your work much more enjoyable and time will pass faster. Is the content of the audio book similar to the game?

I will probably get a pre-owned copy of Nioh or Horizon: Zero Dawn someday. I'll be able to sell both once I've completed them and this will save me a significant amount of money. What do you think you will play next?

Yeah, furthermore I'm really weak in economics so it's worrisome. The finals will be in 5 weeks so I really need to buck up.

Kokoro Connect will be good, it's been a long time since I've watched and I really like it. One of the best way to learn Japanese is to play untranslated visual novel and attach a text hooker to it, have you heard of it before?
xHatsukoi Mar 6, 2017 8:00 PM
I've been reading Dracu-Riot, it has a pretty generic storyline (protagonist turning into a vampire) but the heroines are really likable. I see, that sounds interesting. Where did you download the audio book from?

Yeah, it's an exclusive. It looks great and the reviews have been really positive, I highly doubt that the price will fall below £20 for years though. Not really, the only problem I encountered are certain games crashing on my Vita from time to time, it gets annoying as I lose my progress.

Yeah, I've read a bit about the combat system and it seems fantastic. I will probably get either Nioh or Horizon: Dawn Zero for my next non-JRPG game. I suppose you are more interested in the latter?

I've not seen it yet as I have been really busy for this 3 weeks. I had a 1500 words case study submission on the 3rd March, mid semester test on 6th and 9th, a group report + 5 minutes video presentation to be submitted on the 10th and a 1300 words economics assignment submission on the 13th.

I had actually stopped my Japanese class a few weeks back after completing Basic 1-2, I'm looking to join a new class that has lessons once per week instead of twice per week as it will be easier on both my time and money. I've not seen any raw anime yet, I should probably do so to improve my listening comprehension as it is one of the component in JLPT (Japanese Language Proficiency Test).
xHatsukoi Feb 24, 2017 3:12 AM
Hmm, I think you might had chose Yumiko then. The translation for the sequel (Meikyuu) is out so I'm thinking of giving it a read but I'm not done with my current VN.

I don't think I will ever get a PS4 Pro as the visual difference isn't really significant, furthermore I don't have a 4K TV as well. Ah, have you played any of such PS4 games that have frame rate issue?

Yeah, that's true. I think that people will still buy a keyboard and mouse and change to them if they are serious about shooters, Sony and game companies will have to think on how they will go about if it they implement it though.

I think so, they did say that Nioh is a Dark Souls clone. I will probably get it when it gets cheaper, are you interested in it?

I see, 28 Days Later sounds interesting, most of the zombie films use the same formula so having some changes will make it distinctive from the rest. I'll download it and give it a watch once I'm done catching up with the airing series. The soundtrack is good, especially 2.15 onward.

Are you feeling any better? Nope. Besides anime and gaming, I'm taking part time Japanese class so that is my only other hobby.
xHatsukoi Feb 18, 2017 11:56 PM
Ah, I see. I think you mentioned that there are way too many H-Scenes in Amane's route, the reasoning of her actions will be revealed later if it is due to that.

That's true, you won't want to invest in the PSVR if there is no guarantee that it won't end up like the PS Vita. Will you be getting the PS4 Pro someday? It is said that there will be significant visual improvements if you run the games on the Pro model with PSVR.

Yeah, the storage space of my PS4 is only 500gb so it is annoying that I have to constantly delete my older games to free up some space. The only thing I want from them now are external keyboard and mouse support, I think it will be really useful on Shooters/MOBAs and navigating through the PS Store.

It looks really good. Have you heard of Nioh? (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WsXnJUP99jc) There are various comparisons of it with The Honor. (theme on samurai, difficulty and both look gorgeous)

That's true, I read that they only supported the Vita for only 1 year after release. They are also discontinuing the service of PS Now (not that I use it) on PS3, PS Vita to focus on PS4 and Windows PC in mid August. Have you tried PS Now before?

Yeah, I haven't been exercising lately which sucks. I forced myself to exercise thrice per week in December but the routine had pretty much stopped after I started university in January. I see, I haven't heard of either of them before since I don't usually watch film. I will keep both of them in mind when I want to watch one.

Mostly gaming and anime, I also watch Youtube videos and read Visual Novel from time to time. Do you have any other hobbies?
