tbh, i kinda liked it. but, it isn't as gud as the naruto was because of the fillers :(
i hope the studio would reconsider of making this much amount of fillers again. instead they give us the canon only episodes.

It had potential, but due to greed and a total disregard of quality, it is a complete mess. The manga being monthly and the anime starting after only 10 chapters had been released, doomed the show from the start. Had they just made the anime seasonal with decent art and animation, it would still not be anywhere near where Naruto is, but would probably not be as hated as it is now. People saw it for what it obviously was, a cash grab.

early boruto had some solid episodes, i liked that arc around ep 50-60, i think it was the otsutsuki arc. sasuke vs kinishiki was really cool, and the obvious, naruto and sasuke vs momoshiki.
then, the episodes around 218 were solid too and the time travel arc but other then that, it was pretty meh.

I love Boruto so much…

I liked the show in the beginning and it seemed promising. The fillers were alr and some were actually entertaining but then the prod started to go downwards in terms of the story in these fillers and the rly bad animation. And the fillers became way too much. Going forward instead of going a weekly anime, they should just release some episodes and take a break so they don’t have too much pressure and they can take their time when working on these episodes. (Also at this point in time, the only fillers we need are just stuff that the fans wd want to see like sasuke training boruto)

I really liked it. It was not as good as Naruto, but except the fillers, the anime and manga canon episodes are really entertaining for me. :)) Hope that the part 2 will be good also, and coming soon.

Canon story: I actually really, really like it. I don’t love it nearly as much as I did Naruto, but Boruto’s canon parts are still really enjoyable for me.

Filler: Most of it is garbage, imo. Some of it is good, but… only some of it. And since well over half of the show is filler and “anime canon,” well over half the show is also garbage, imo.

I don’t mind fillers once a while but there is no need to have months of filler like before this canon arc started. The fillers aren’t bad, some of them are actually really good. But a bit more canon would be appreciated. Overall i enjoy the show & the hate the show gets is honestly not fair in my opinion. Overall rating would be 7.5/8 out of 10

Boruto story can at best be considered good
The problem is that it dealt with the OG in a bad way + fillers suck
The anime originals aren't half bad tbh, they would've been better, I believe.

They nerfed the og characters too much and make the next generations become stronger too fast. Jonin in Boruto also not interesting like jonin in Naruto. Inconsistency in animation also ruin this series a little bit.

Overall, I think some of the anime canon was great such as the second chunin exam and some other anime canon not give too many significance to the series.

tbf boruto was a really good "story" who understand and like deeper concepts in life
like not just the scenes pumping dopamine and stuff
in this we see how a dude who has everything loses everything in contrast to a dude having nothing gaining everything in naruto
I feel boruto is a very misunderstood character and has a lot of potential in terms of power and in terms of his general character development
the fact that he started off not liking naruto due to his bad parenting to him understanding narutos past and how he worked to come forward was a huge w for me
personally few things here and there could've been better but tbf at least the Canon episodes were pretty decent to me... definitely not the best but not trash to any extent
I am really looking forward for the manga to be animated but till now (only considering the canon episodes) it is a solid 7.5/10 for me

It lacks death, it lacks any sort of emotional connection to the characters and the story. The thing that made naruto so great was the fact that he went through a whole lot of shit to learn the life lessons he lives by. Little chump boruto is just a know-all from nowhere and it just makes it feel insincere. Kawaki is some sort of an interesting character, yet it took so long for him to be introduced that it just feels like bare minimum. There are plenty of things that they could have done better and I am sure we don't have to tell them that they fucked up, they already are aware of it.

I think they should make all of Boruto a Naruto flashback anime because the only time I was enjoying the series was the chunin exam episode involving Naruto( lol Boruto getting exposed as a cheat. Reminds me of that Regular show episode where Rigby gets caught cheating at arm wrestling)and that time travel arc where Sasuke had to go back in time or some shit.

Not as good as Naruto, But It's still good enough for a sequal. Only thing is remove atleast around 60% anime canon content, it would be mostly fixed.

I think manga also on its own doesn't work because of bad art and need a little bit more fleshed out content (which they keep for anime).

I am hoping for a good fan edit once boruto is complete

A solid 8/10.
The 2022 fillers were mostly disappointing
/ average but i think that the rest of the anime is good. the manga canon arcs are mostly on the level of naruto arcs and they're definitely great and have everything i ask for.
The anime canon arcs are generally pretty good and interesting, sometimes they even feel like a manga arc (for example kara actuation arc)
The fillers are a hit or miss tho, i don't mind them once in a while.
I'm sure that part 2 will be even better and i can't wait to see it.

I think the comparisons to Naruto are unfair cause the people making to comparisons aren't comparing it to Naruto, but to Naruto Shippuden. Naruto wouldn't stack up that well against Naruto Shippuden either: it's mostly build-up and the last half is entirely fillers. Boruto: Naruto Next Generation does a lot of amazing things; from world building to filler villains still being villains, character growth. It would have been a great manga/anime were it not for the fact that they try to keep making sure we don't forget it's a Naruto spinoff.

Imo all of the manga canon episodes are extremely good and keep me at the edge of my seat also some filler/anime canon arcs weren't even all that BAD. However, a huge majority of them are unwatchable and animation is downright horrendous sometimes. Hoping they keep everything more consistent in part 2.

Of course, for me, it would be good if they show cannon only. Or at least some interesting filler arcs or anime canon? I wonder how many episodes it would only have if they removed the fillers instead of having a total of 293 episodes? Naruto anime only have 220 episodes (I didn't count Shippuden because it is already a time skip) but still a better show than Boruto. No hate:))

I watched it at the beginning

Then the fillers started coming, chasing cats and whatnot

Then fillers

Then again fillers ... more boring and boring

Eventually I started doing something else while watching

Now I watch it x8 just to get a grasp of what is going on, but can't get attach to anything cause it might just be another non useful filler that doesn't progress the characters or the plot at all

At its peak it’s great, too often it wasn’t tho. It was too much filler, poor animation etc. but I love this story and characters and I hope we get a better studio or staff in part 2
