boi u haven't seen the latest episodes (12th specifically)
I'd recommend u to watch S2 cause you won't regret it as you reach ep12
plus most of the things from the light novel aren't yet revealed in the anime. I love the show and even more the ln.

I found it very boring personally.There's not enough progression,action, tension, psychological games at least for me.I only watched season1 nevertheless going to watch s2 to see if it's improved.
Another thing is MC.He's too emotionless for my taste to enjoy watching him and I know many people do like him because of that.
Also pls don't tell me to read LN, I'm not really a LN person.

I love the LN but not the anime.
The anime adaptation of s1 was really bad imo since the studio skipped and replaced a bunch of important stuff. The only thing I liked were the osts. And, I haven't seen s2 yet so Idk anything about its adaptation atm.

so my opinion isn't on the the anime but the book

but the book was really good until volume 8, especially volumes 5-7. The fight scene is what ruined it for me to be honest.

it was cool and all, but eventually it gets old that there is no suspense, as ayanokouji is a literal god. Any problems, don't worry ayanokouji will deal with it effortlessly.

I always thought this show would've been better without ayanokouji, and focusing on a group of characters in class D who had their own unique abilities that all made up ayanokoujis , as every character had a weakness there would be suspense that something would happen, also it would avoid main character plot amour as it isn't end of the world if one of them got expelled

super OP characters should only be used for comedies like saitama

Ik you sai you aren't a LN person.... but what you describe is all in the LN. Im not even kidding. Once you hear the MCs though he isnt tha emotionless anymore, just cruel at times (he even gets a girlfriend and tries, with succes to learn what love is) . The LN has a fair share of psychological games, but the anime decides to cut them out (some of pshychological parts repeate a little to much for my liking but it might not bother you too much.
Also someone said here that he didn't like it because its so school focused, but later on he actually goes on to fight some adults

You've seen the wrong show. Assassination Classroom is the closest thing to what you describe. Also series with OP MC which arent comedies are called power fantasies. Classroom of the elite is a power fantasy without the fantasy. Its just that power fantasy isnt for eveyone

Season one was very good was an anime only as they hit the major plot points and the explanations behind them. Season two is just rushed. They had one goal this season (to get to the roof) and in my option they dropped the ball on that. I have no idea how they will introduce Arisu in such a short time as she’s top 3-4 in most important characters in the upcoming LN volumes.

I agree with your ideas on super op characters but late year one LN and all of year two LN Ayanokoji is not as untouchable. He’s still op, but nothing more than most popular shows/stories. He has legitimate competition and he doesn’t always win.

I like Ayanokoji Kun, he is a type of character I enjoy watching in such psychological animes

And especially the latest season impressed me even more

I just read first three chapters of Light Novel and find out that the amount of details regarding each and every incident in written in a very elite way

so overall, yeah obviously, the first season was 7/10 & latest season a low tier 9/10 (precisely 8.5) for me, if it gets an even more better animation then definitely it will rise high up for me

As for LN, yeah I am enjoying it
