Synopsis
High schooler Hajime Tsukiyoda went to Shibuya that day hoping only to find inspiration for his next film. he never expected to find himself smack-dab in the middle of a real-life horror movie. Without warning, schools of massive goldfish descend upon the crowded streets, and the mystified onlookers' confusion quickly turns to terror as the fish begin to feed. From their tentative shelter, Hajime and a handful of survivors await a rescue that seems more and more unlikely as the days and hours tick by. meanwhile, all around them, the bloody feeding frenzy rages...

After considering buying Shibuya Goldfish for a while I finally did it. I had pretty high expectations for it, the plot seemed perfectly crazy (like a Japanese version of Sharknado) I was certain it would be amazing and totally different from other mangas. But uh oh it fucking sucked and was a complete waste of time and my hard earned pocket money.
Why was this so bad? The plot is so crazy and weird and could have been enjoyable if done properly. A manga about an apocalypse with giant, flying goldfish sounds so unique, but everything read more

I'm three volumes in, and this is a great "turn your brain off and let the bizarre story wash over you" kind of read. Easy to follow, not a lot of plot, just "survive the giant goldfish who now fly through the air and hunger for human flesh." That's it; that's the manga! Nothing more, nothing less.
Does this series have depth? Nah!
Is it funny? Sometimes!
Is it fanservicey? Also sometimes!
Is that art all right? Yeah, mostly!
Will zombie-story fans like this? Yeah, probably!
