Hello there, this is my review of KH: Days, and you're allowed to have your own opinion. :D

Story: 10
The story is complex like everything in the KH series. It has moments that will make you laugh, cry, and feel all of those fells, so it has fast paced parts and slower scenes. This story is dark and sad since of it questioning and addressing very serious matters like death, existence, friendship, betrayal, etc.

Art:10
This manga has brilliant art. Every Disney world feels unique, and the characters all look amazing. The artist paid attention to every single detail, making this beautiful to look at. You can see all the effort put into this manga by the art alone.

Character: 10
All the characters are wonderful in here expect for Vexen, but Vexen is barely in here. To just name a few, this manga has the well-written characters of Roxas, Axel, Xion, Riku, Naminė, etc. The three mains are very relatable as well. For example, people can easily relate to just wanting to waste your days away while eating ice cream with your best friends.

Overall: OVER 9,000!
This manga has good things going for it, and I recommend that you either read it or buy it. It is recommended to read the prior parts of the series before this one though.

Let's get one thing straight, I am a huge fan of the game this manga is based on, so I went into this manga with high expectations. After finishing it I have a couple things I want to say about it.

Story: (6/10) (When compared to the game)
This rating is not reflective of the material it's based on, the game is amazingly written and I think that it's one of the (if not THE) strongest story in the series. Even though I played this game about 6 or 7 years ago, it's still my all time favorite Kingdom Hearts game. This manga had a couple bumps when it came to it's story telling however, there are comedic beats that feel a little out of place that I don't remember being in the game (although since this was probably marketed towards a younger audience, I can understand why) and a lot of the way that things are paced out are much too fast. I spent the entire manga preparing myself for the final fight at the end, and they ended the final fight with a SINGLE panel. Considering how long the fight is in the game it's just.. well it's a bit disappointing is all I guess qmq. My favorite section of the game to play, the one right after the final boss fight, was also incredibly (and sadly) very quick. I can kind of understand this, but I guess it does make me sad that I didn't get to re-experience those fights again. But, again these thoughts are all based on me having played the game it comes from.

Overall.. I'd say that there are a couple oddities here and there for the story due to it's strange comedic beats and pacing that is much to quick for anybody who loves a good keyblade fight. I would never recommend reading the manga over playing the game through an emulator (and we aren't even gonna talk about how they SLAYED the poor game in that ps4 or ps3 collection where they REMOVED ALL GAMEPLAY) of some kind.

Art (8/10) I was put off a bit at first by how the art was portrayed, since it had a more cute-like quality that I don't feel like the game had, but it kind of grew on me! The art was actually very nice for this manga! There were plenty of moments where a character made a comically out of character face (at least based on what I remember) but in the end I think the take-away is that it looks pretty nice. Some characters (like Xion) ended up having a lot more personality then the game they came from because of how expressive faces were!! That's a big plus in my book.

Character: (9/10) I was originally gonna give a 10/10 for characters since I think they actually did a very good job recreating the seasalt trios tale, but I gotta take it down just one notch because it felt like the rest of the organization got left behind as jokes, which is a little sad, but hey sometimes things gotta change to meet criteria and I can understand that!

Enjoyment: (8/10) It's my favorite kingdom hearts game, what can I say?

Overall: 9/10

TLDR; it's not a bad manga, but it is by no means a replacement for the actual game. I really do beg that you play the game before you read this manga, it's a fun treat once you've played the game, but it's not a replacement.
