Both stories involves Japanese Archery, wherein the main leads are having doubt with themselves because they were starting to fall in love with the same gender, which caused them to encounter troubles in their performances and skills in archery. Rin's story is more on shounen-ai. It is light weight and a bit slow-paced. Kimi ga koi ni Ochiru is more on usual yaoi with sexy love scenes. Both are worth the read.

Both stories are romances between boys that takes place in a kyudo (Japanese archery) setting. Rin! is about a boy and his elder brother's best friend figuring out that they are in love and finding their way in the beginning of a romantic relationship; Kimi ga Koi ni Ochiru is about a boy who is in love with an old friend of his elder brother's, who is in love with his elder brother.
