Holy shit why has no one noticed the similarities yet.
I guess this is more present in last order but alita is literally the futuristic version of baki.
In gunnm there are tons of tournaments and fights are always explained in detail.
Just like baki which is centres around the same thing. Also both mangas go in depth with ‘fight science’ during battles, techniques are explained in detail and how it effects the body how it is performed etc. Most of the dialogue is also incredibly similar to baki, they usually hype up the fighting using specific techniques like for example ‘having a bystander wet their pants at
