Strong high-school male delinquent leads are a way to sum up both mangas. Lead protagonists in both series are brash, impulsive, smart and strong. The secondary MCs have a love-hate relationship with the lead. They are constantly abused, berated but still trusted by the other. Romantic subplots in Hareluya are toned down. Kyou kara ore wa doesn't focus too much on the romance aspect as but is more apparent. As for which male lead is stronger? Hareluya is seemingly indestructible but his fighting styles and weapons can become predictable after a while. Mitsuhashi in Kyou Kara comes across as more cunning and has no
