In both mangas, a poor girl must work as a "fake wife" in order to receive money in order to support their family. Both main couples have similar relationship, as the girl eventually falls for the guy, even though their relationship is fake (but in Hadashi de Bara wo Fume, the guy does fall for her). However, both mangas are different in some aspects, as in Hadashi de Bara wo Fume, it is more of a western based story, and there is a crazy psychopath that wants the female main, whereas in Ookami-heika no Hanayome, it's more of traditional (japanese) royalty historical (no psychopath involved).
