Punch monsters is an incredibly funny and necessary work in both worlds.
Many moments, the plot and characters feel similar. The villains feel similar and are epic, and also many great comedy moments. Very cool art in both (although OPM's is objectively superior)
I think it has the same humor and i love both

- The universe is the same, almost everything is urbanized with different zones
- there is kaijus invading these towns in both mangas
- there is an association of heros / people to destroy the Kaijus
- the character suddenly earn a gigantic power out of nowhere and has to hide it
- IT'S FREAKING BADASS
