For example, the girl protagonists are both specialists in something {Beauty Pop- Hair Cutting; Kitchen no Ohime-sama- Cooking). There is also romance between the protagonist's friends.

Kitchen no Ohimesama and Beauty Pop are quite similar except revoloving around different talents. In Kitchen no Ohimesama, our main character is an unrefined genius chef with no "professional" training, who puts her heart into the dishes she makes. Similarly in Beauty Pop, the main character is an unrefined genius hairstylist with no "professional" training. They are both prodigy's in their respective fields and they are both children of critically acclaimed chefs and hairstylists. In addition, they both have to prove their skills in competition plenty of times. Overall, both are good reads with similar vibes.
