Both manga deal with unusual relationship between a young man and a child that became father and daughter out of certain circumstances. While Usagi Drop starts when Usagi is very young, Yajirobee shows the realtionship when Haru is graduating into high school.
They both have this warm feeling and not very dramatic way of telling the story.
