Koe no Katachi and Aku no Hana both follow a main character who has done terrible things in their past and must face their personal demons and move forward with their life. For Aku no Hana this is the second half of the manga after a time skip, while it is the main focus for Koe no Katachi.
Both focus around a somber and downbeat darker side of growing up as a kid and moments of bullying included too.
